I instantly knew what you were gonna say when I read the thread title. I dont even think its the worst song or that there is a best song I think all the songs flow toghether nicely and Illmatic needed One Time for your Mind

Love this song.

The parlayer I make ya heads bop pa, I shine a light on perpetrators like a cop car

I always fukked with it, that line in the very first verse talking about rooting for the villain gets me into it everytime

Line that gets me is "y'all nikkas was born, I shot my way out my mom dukes"

It's the real get hype song on the cd.....it's classic. I don't know if thats the xylophone being used on the beat....but it's used to perfection....truly an original classic.

Nah, this ain't the kind of revisionism that is notorious with coli brehs. I've seen the likes of those who will argue that Nastradamus was 4-mic (or better) album. I genuinely feel that "One Time 4 Your Mind" is criminally underrated. It's seriously as good as any other track on illmatic by any measure: beat, lyrics, concept. The shyt is amazing. #WakeUp
