If your gonna get serious with a woman enough to live with...

Make sure you are self sufficient so she knows you can live alone just as comfortably.

Make sure any girl you date seriously has some damn hobbies. You dont wanna be counted on to entertain her every passing moment.

I have hobbies and I am in a new relationship. He requires a lot of my time and I have put my "me time" aside because I love to be around him and he is getting deployed. However, if this was normal circumstances...

Me and my girl of 4 years at the time moved in together. The first few months was cool, all honeymoon experience at first. I'm not discounting the good times at all because there were many good moments. But the bad... she turned our crib into a mix of the lifetime network and waiting to exhale. Come home too late, she thinks I'm cheating. Have a argument over the phone? I'm locked out my own crib for hours banging on the door. Clothes ripped up , computer and television cracked and stepped on. A lot of women don't have hobbies, so every awakening second they feel you must cater to their boredom.

This hits WAAAAY too close to home. Lived w/ a girl for about 6 months or so, she bounced from job to job, kept giving her the benefit of the doubt. She wanted to do everything that I did, drove me insane. Definitely solidified the fact that to me, people can be in relationships but they can't stop being individuals. Never went through the whole broken stuff thing though I'm never a nasty dude, but she brought it out in me and I snapped and gave her the boot.

No regrets though, learned more than I'd care to mention about relationships from that one.
