I watched the movie shortly after the release, and I was surprised about all the negative press.
It wasn’t by any means a great movie, but it wasn’t as bad as the critics made it out to be
shyt I look at that budget...250 million. Avatar in comparison was 237 mill. They put a ton on this :ohhh:

It seems like this thread is listing movies they think should have been huge but flopped and not saying the movie was actually good to begin with.

John Carter for example is not a good movie. Terrible lead character. It flopped because it wasn't good to begin with.
To be a fair there are tons of mediocre movies that are box office hits

evolution. it was literally the 2000s ghostbusters. all the characters had god chemistry too. but what i think sunk it was that there was nothing toyetic in it. not a crazy car, no special weapons, nothing
Came to say this. This was a great film that got nowhere near the props it should have gotten.

Another one is Faster. Arguably The Rock's best movie.
