This didn't flop at all. Most people say it was lowkey a comeback film for Tom Cruise.

This movie flopped in order to make a return on the film it needs to make 3x the movie budget. I was an intern at the company that made the film and I remember the executive showing me the Tom Cruise sword from the movie. The problem with the movie was the marketing, they changed the name of the movie at the last minute which messed the marketing of the film.

Fight Club only grossed like $40 million in the US with a budget of around $65 million.

It seems like this thread is listing movies they think should have been huge but flopped and not saying the movie was actually good to begin with.

John Carter for example is not a good movie. Terrible lead character. It flopped because it wasn't good to begin with.

I consider all the movies I listed to be quality films.

19th century sci fi fantasy adventure flick set on mars...its not bad. I mean if you can watch the star wars prequels At first I thought it was going to be a Denzel flick going off the title.

I thought it ended everything just fine so I'm not complaining, however I wouldn't have been against more sequels
