I was in Nova for work for about a month in Loudoun county or whatever and i kept saying tje exact same thing. Everything just seemed like a movie set. All the brand new condos just felt like facades. The shopping center was empty most of the time i went for lunch. Impossible for a town like that to have any real culture . just seems they found a plot of land and just built a whole suburb to cater the government and corporate employees to have a place to sleep.

Herndon/Reston is exactly that man. Its a damn joke.

My brother just moved out to Reston a couple months ago for a good paying job, got a spot a few min drive from his job. One of those new condos built in like 2015-16. Full of tech employees employed by the government or big corporations that are housed out there.

Me and the rest of my fam on the other side of the beltway over in Bowie, MD so my bro comes home every weekend.

But I HATE Northern VA. The traffic is disgusting. There are toll roads on the Beltway there too. I just hate it. I was hoping he'd have been located in Arlington instead of damn near Dulles Airport.

I'm glad I work in DC proper.

I appreciate it hun. I've been getting hit with the goofy face since I announced that I'm moving to Danville. My people's are like, "bytch what"? I'm completely about it at this point. I'm going to give it a year and then move to a bigger place after. My rent is 275.00 a month for my 2 bedroom. Landlord is a nice white guy from DC who works for the electric company. The way I see it, we are winning. This is our chance to stack money and progress. If we gotta chill in little ol Danville for a bit so be it. I thought Arlington is diverse like Alexandria and Springfield.

It depends on where in Arlington you at. The northern part of Arlington is heavily Cac and East Asian on some Pacific NW shyt, whereas the southern part is more of mix of Cacs, East Asians, Indians, Central Americans, Mexicans, Middle Easterners, Afghans, Ethiopians, West Africans, and a few ADOS.

North Arlington (Rosslyn, Clarendon, Ballston, Courthouse, etc.)

South Arlington (Pentagon City, Crystal City, Aurora Highlands, Shirlington, etc.)

I work in Pentagon City so I’m exposed to these different groups and cultures pretty often. It can be cool but I get a wonderful sensation when I clock out and drive back home to Black ass PG County, where boujee nikkas, working class nikkas, and hood nikkas alike got the outright audacity to look down on Cacs with absolutely no fukks given Ain’t no place like home breh

Yep. 30/40 mins from the Boro, 50 mins from Durham, and an hour and some change from Raleigh. Shorty and her fam will be close to some attractions, and I’m pretty sure Danville and surrounding small towns will have the hidden gems they can get in to as well.

But yea, they’re pretty much moving to NC. More New Yorkers to NC

shyt I’m in Raleigh for school right now and a couple people I work with moved to nc from new york when they were young.
