What does her being against immigration have to do with not having a strategy? And forget Tariq(he's an entertainer) we're talking about the heavyweights like Yvette. She, Tone Talks and heck many Black economists AND non-Black ones have addressed the racial wealth gap plenty of times. Heck even Bernie Sanders of all people addressed. You're acting like Yvette and others have to do this all at the same time.

The bigger issue that is going to be most likely brought up by Yvette and others like her is the racial wealth gap. And what do you even mean they are going stop at "we want major reforms" thats their MAIN objective. Immigration is a secondary issue. If theoretically a we get major reforms that addresses the disenfranchisement/racial wealth gap, immigration would be a DISTANCE problem. Immigration is only a real issue for Yvette because AAs are still disenfranchised. I really don't get how any of this is mutually exclusive?

Edit:

Are you African-American?
No.
I remember him from our old threads he’s Caribbean.

I'm saying that if the major reforms come to pass it's not going to come from AA gang and Yvette.

I don't believe immigration is a secondary issue for Yvette and Tariq, which is why they and their followers won't be a part of the leftist coalition that would bring those reforms.

They've already bushed the two most prominent socialists right now.

Uh... Who said it will? Weren't YOU or someone else the one that said we need a candidate that represents us. Again.

Even Tariq of all people shouted her out.

:heh: Like I said if AAs get those major reforms then immigration WOULD NOT be an issue or at least a distance. Again, immigration is only an issue according to Yvette because AAs are the poorest group in America outside of Native Americans.

Immigration doesn't hurt Whites/Jews or Asians because they have CAPITAL and are not disenfranchised.

They've already bushed the two most prominent socialists right now.

Yea, because those precious socialist(like most non-Black socialist in the West) are completely clueless on race relations and only aware of classicism. Even Coates of all people called Bernie out for his botched reparation question. And Coates is NOT in the same group with Tariq/Yvette.

I said the woman is stupid, but if they're pushing no strategy....then WTF is the point:heh:

Yvette has videos agreeing with hardcore conservatives with regards to immigration. That is 100% in opposition to the growing leftist movement.

You're going to have to build a massive coalition to push through reparations for redlining and slavery.:hubie:

And what votes is this getting:gucci:

When Trump started locking kids up at the border, black folks were polled to be most against that.

AA gang thought that was:manny: .

Like I've said there really is no significant base for what AA gang wants(conservative immigration policy + progressive programs geared to AAs)
Well, if all this is true then you and the Dems should have no problem with the black vote and getting a Dem in office. Nothing for you to worry about.

No they are not. If an African American is working and living in Nigeria with their African American spouse and they have a child while in Nigeria that would not make their child a Nigerian. The child would be Black just like the other Nigerians, but the child would not be a Nigerian.

An African American is specifically a person whose ancestors were enslaved in the USA or its predecessor British North America. Oddly enough there are Africans who are African Americans, but those are the ones whose ancestors were returned to Sierra Leone and Liberia after the English lost the American Revolution.
:mjlol: The whole shyt seems confusing as fukk. Y'all can have that.

Look we probably agree on "what should be done" but I disagree with this AA gang shyt. I believe Yvette and most AA gang are bigots or don't really understand causes of AADOS' plight. It makes no sense for someone to spend this much time on foreigners when the issues for AADOS are tied to capitalism and racism.

The Coates interview was fukking bullshyt b/c as bad as Bernie's answer was(and it was bad) what was Hillary's views on reparations? Who's policies would have been drastically better for AADOS?

Random but another reason why aados is necessary.

Everyone makes sure it’s known how “different” they are to us all the time but leech on our shyt

I'm 1st gen Haitian-American also, but I always recognized Black History Month as a month to recognize specifically AADOS history and achievements in this nation. The only time a non AADOS person should be acknowledged during BHM are those who were the 1st black person/people in their field. Otherwise, I don't see the point in highlighting how distinct and unique one's culture is to AA culture, all the while benefiting from AA culture and shoehorning your ppls collective status in with the achievements and strides made by AADOS ppl in this nation. If you're so adamant about being diffirent(which isn't false), just be diffirent over there, and stop hopping in and out of the mix when it suits you.

AA’s don’t understand causes that effect AA’s? How does that make sense? Furthermore, you’re not even an AA; how are you going to tell AA’s what’s affecting them?

Bruh I sat out the last election primarily because of what the Clintons did to AAs. I agree with most of what y'all want.

The problems plaguing AADOS are tied to white supremacy, the same system that welcomes certain African and Carribean immigrants to America and treats them better than the black people whose families have lived here for centuries. Denying that non-AADOS black people are not subject to the same discriminatory practices that have historically beset AADOS means you are not interested in solutions and simply wish to peddle a sob story because Tariq and others have hurt your feelings. :francis:

AAs are mostly affected by capitalism and racism.....NOT Immigration. So it is foolish to attack foreigners in the way Yvette and her followers do.
