Drake didn't release much and is on the list because of his features but when you look at it

The one with Meek Mill wasn't that big and fizzled out after a while

The one with 2 Chainz was big
fukking problems was big but that was because of the 2 Chainz hook
Pop that was big but that was because of the hook/sample plus had 3 other rappers on it

I think #5 is fair

i don't see the problem with drake @ 5, am i missing something? this list is about popularity and notoriety from 2012 riding into 2013...ross, 2-chainz, and k-dot had bigger years last year, and depending what arguments you throw in, drake, chainz, kendrick, and ross are interchangeable...

don't know who the other spot goes to, wayne was quiet (thank god), jay could get it off GP dikkriding, nas should be in there but he won't be

Drake didnt really have an album out in the past 12 months so really you cant be number 1 off just Yolo and the guest features.

I actually wonder how they're gonna make the case for Wayne being in the top 4 because his last album in 2011 was a disappointment critically and he had a quiet year with maybe a couple of singles and thats it. Yeah I mean he's still crazy popular but you could make an argument he had a quiet year by his standards and probably shouldnt even be on.

:rudy: stop it five . Drake is the release date whisperer only reason would be he didn't release a album but he's definitely a big reason for those songs success .

I just realized you can make a bigger all-star list of people considered not hot by MTV than hot...

I don't mess with the radio like that, but I don't listen to any of these people like that anyway. I'm not no teenage whitegirl in the suburbs so they not really relevent to me like that. Calling most of this stuff HipHop is more disturbing to me.

If this is the criteria then I can't see how cats like Psy and Macklemore don't end up in the top 5. :yeshrug:

It's about the "Hottest" right? :russ::russ::russ:

Hip hop used to not judge "heat" by what billboard says...It seems like thats what this list is gettin back to..

Besides who do you know your age that actually goes out and purchases retail or calls in the request a song on the radio?
Hiphop as far as I can remember or just looking back has always played by the billboards cause its the only quantitive measure. From Pac, Cube, Snoop, Nwa to Big, Jay, LL and more always glamorized sales and shytted on competition for not selling like them.

I mean imo you need some common sense as well, sales is not everything but its an important factor. Drakes buzz and the way a hit single correlates with his presence on a track should put him higher than at least Ross.

I'm sure Kendrick, Ross, and 2 Chainz are locks so the best question to ask at this point is will they snub Jay, Wayne, or Nicki for the only spot open.?

The Big Sean hate is :blessed: When he releases Hall of Fame :whew:, future GOAT. the son gohan of rap. Asap, Cole, Wale and Meek are destined to be in his shadow . True story. His only competition is K. Dot and Drake. When Kanye says his protege is the future GOAT, you can bank on that.
