Russell goin help a lot different aspects of the games that cp3 couldn’t. Rebounding, fast break, secondary scorer, explosiveness in the perimter.

I ain’t with the Iggy trade( either. We can get more for our first round pick especially since the consensus is we got worst in the West. Our first round pick is more valuable this year than years pass. I’d rather trade it for Covington than Iggy.

Though he is a cheap piece of shyt, I wouldn’t pay all that for Iggy either. I would not be shocked at all if he were to become a Rocket, he was suddenly forget how to play basketball. They need to go younger at that position, should try to find a way to get Robert Covington

I don't want him here.

That aside, we have a glaring hole at the 3 spot and height deficiency at the 4 spot that both kicked our ass last year. Now, if we could acquire a quality stretch 4, I'd just bump PJ to the 3 and that'd be that... 2 birds with 1 stone. But there's probably nothing on the market left or affordable.

As we are, if we switch everything vs Lakers or Clippers, we're gonna get killed on the boards even if we defend well.

I don’t see that happening, his IQ is solidified. He may fall off in his ability to shoot, but I don’t think he falls off a cliff randomly in their areas mainly defense and passing.

Warriors used him in the dunker spot last year, he still has enough left in the tank.

I do agree that giving up a first and hard capping ourselves is probably too much, but the market has ran dry. We didn’t get either of the Morrises or JaMychal Green which were top PF targets.
We are dealing with the well running dry and I think Iggy would be the type of defensive high IQ signing to pair with PJ that we have lacked since Ariza left
