Far as being the total package, BIG is way up there. Quality of songs, quality of albums, versatilty, flow, charisma, storytelling, wordplay, humor, voice, commercial success, basically a 10/10 in all those categories. Very underrated as a technician and lyricist too. His rhyme schemes was very unique and more sophisticated than they got credit for.

Nas was definitely GOAT-level from '94-'99.

I had him and B.I.G. on the same level back then. But after '99, Nas was never the same again. Still Top 10, but he lost that untouchable aura he had before. Overall though, I think B.I.G. is the actual GOAT. With just the two albums. Which is crazy.

That's not true nas is still the goat now

2pac needed Biggie to promote All Eyes On Me and Makaveli. Biggie never needed Pac to promote anything. 2Pac used Faith on a song, he lied about Biggie being involved in his shooting. Dedicated a whole diss song to Biggie. 2pac needed that Biggie energy to pop off like he did in 1996.

Sidebar: Anybody else think Pusha T is eerily similar to Big with the raps? May be just me and how I listen to the shhit, 🤷🏽‍♂️. Totally different voice and presence so it’s easy to miss, but the bars are madd similar, I can hear that Big is probably his inspiration in rap.
He tries to mimic him a lot

i just listened to Mook..lol

I cant call it. Best thing about Big and Nas was you can tell they battled through storytelling raps.

if you like Big in that, cool.... If you prefer Nas, cool

they were even in storytelling to me. Rae and Ghost were next

I think Biggie’s mic charisma and way with words carries him over the edge in story telling for me. But Nas was a little more creative. So I guess they balance out each other.

Some other mentionable goats, Cube & Face
