I'm really enjoying the aesthetics of modern hip-hop...content not really but beat production and sounds especially it has a nice futuristic sheen to it that I've always been digging. Production wise..I feel like just even making music for fun it just nice to keep it ecclectic and adapt with the times even just for personal sake.

I feel in whatever I do...I just got to stay ahead of things and absorb it all...just to have fresh reiterations. It's nice to trace back and listen to old material I've made and just then get into new material I've made to see how far I've progressed.

I've be honest too...I'd rather not make music for labels and feel like my own personal frame to make music has to be sped up rushed or bothered. I like to take my time with stuff. I haven't really worked on any tracks in the past couple but just doing mixes and podcasts. Just lowkey. Something new from mew willl manifest itself eventually. DJing and making music honestly seems like some I'll be doing well through my 30s and hopefully through my 40s toos. I'm trying to keep it og...veteran status.

Yo I respect the cats that have been around for 15+ years still making music and still enjoying it or still making art. That's a main inspiration I have.

My one dream...is to start a DJ set or play a DJ set...where I start off with 15 minutes of drone ambient shyt and then go into some beats and just do it like that.

I've been plotting mainly like...designing in the back of my mind like how I would like to do live music...have projections playing in the background...photoshoots just for promo and stuff make it official.
I'm more about...it's like 2015...and I just want the current state of what I listen to...and what I make and try to indirectly promote through my productions and DJ sets is a sort of futuristic aesthetic...with more of a focus towards meshing that nostalgic element with 90s material or inspired material. That's live..like I like to bring stuff from the old and expose it to audiences in one way or another might not of recognized before but are now paying attention to it now. And that's really at the basis of how I really have been focusing on how to approach music in, one way or another now.

Fantasy.
Music is life! There are so many defining moments in our lives that we can pinpoint to a certain song.
Man sometimes I'll be driving and a song comes on that will remind me of a special, happy, depressing or even heartbreaking moment of my life.
I'll turn the volume up and sing at the top of my lungs, and I swear to you those same emotions that I felt back then will consume me. I'll find myself laughing at the memory, usually it'll be how naive and stupid I was lol. I'll also find tears forming in my eyes when I remember the heartbreaks listening to the songs that got me over it.
Idk, music just does something to me. I could never live without.
Ahh but I love my nostalgic music the most.
One of my favorite artist Yanni who ironically has a song named nostalgia lol
He really gets me in my euphoric music zone(plus I try to plug him as much as I can waiting for that one day to find someone equally as passionate about his music as i am).

:ohlawd: Ya'll just don't know what his music does to me.:wow:

They cost $150 on amazon, of course not the best pair of monitors out there but coming from a cheap 2.1 system it does the job. You lose bass but the mids and highs :ahh:

I listen to everything. I don't listen to house and techno all the time...it's nice to have some balance.

I grew up listening to R&B, soul, jazz, reggae, disco, the blues, and like some new wave and late 80s to early 90s pop...then I got into alternative, grunge, punk, metal...cause I was in private catholic school and that's what everybody was into and it rubbed off on me. Then I got into electronica and techno in 1996 and it was over. Surprisingly though I realize that house music was always big in my family for a while since I was little. The first house song I ever got into was "Spin That Wheel" for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie soundtrack when I was 5. And that shyt was like 25 years ago...

My aunts uncles and cousins in jersey would always have those house mix cds playing and I dug for artists from those as well.

High school and college I started really nerding out onf stuff...I always liked stuff like Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Front 242, but I 've been listening to hip-hop since I was 5 too so it's funny. LOL.

I've just always been into the more involved stuff myself that has body and some alien type texture to it.

I started playin piano at a young age and I was drawn to Jazz and Gospel. I used to do paid gigs until reality set in, but I still play from time to time around town. I've never got into the heavy metal thing, but I am a big fan of acts like Radiohead, Sia etc.
