I listen to everything. I don't listen to house and techno all the time...it's nice to have some balance.

I grew up listening to R&B, soul, jazz, reggae, disco, the blues, and like some new wave and late 80s to early 90s pop...then I got into alternative, grunge, punk, metal...cause I was in private catholic school and that's what everybody was into and it rubbed off on me. Then I got into electronica and techno in 1996 and it was over. Surprisingly though I realize that house music was always big in my family for a while since I was little. The first house song I ever got into was "Spin That Wheel" for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie soundtrack when I was 5. And that shyt was like 25 years ago...

My aunts uncles and cousins in jersey would always have those house mix cds playing and I dug for artists from those as well.

High school and college I started really nerding out onf stuff...I always liked stuff like Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Front 242, but I 've been listening to hip-hop since I was 5 too so it's funny. LOL.

I've just always been into the more involved stuff myself that has body and some alien type texture to it.

damn kmfdm havent heard them brought up in a whole minute

I'm so surprised you mention Nine Inch Nails. I'm black but I was f*cking with their music back then. I think I was 13 and I was :leon: that I dig this song

I started playin piano at a young age and I was drawn to Jazz and Gospel. I used to do paid gigs until reality set in, but I still play from time to time around town. I've never got into the heavy metal thing, but I am a big fan of acts like Radiohead, Sia etc.
Radiohead has been one of my favorite bands...espcially coming up watching MTV. From Pablo Honey to the Bends to Ok Computer to KID A (Kid A is one of my favorite albums ever.)

Thom Yorke's solo output has been great too. I forget in the label he runs, but he's been about the electronica stuff more as of late which I enjoy. I like they way the incorporated experimental electronic music in their rock output. Definitely top ten in my book.

Plus Thom yorke fukks with the hip-hop too...

Alot of that early 90s to mid 90s industrial kind of heavy and beat oriented. I mean the lead singer of KMFDM does like techno and stuff. And Ministry. I liked how the incorporated the electronics and the drum machine beats with metal. I've laways respect acts that have a consistency to them as far as music to aesthetic. They've done that well...like ICP. I don't even listen to them that much, I was aware of them when I was younger and never really bought any albums (I got a free Psychopathic REcords CD from NRM back in 1999...lol). That jester jack in the box dark clown shyt is dope as hell. Reminds me of some sourther hip-hop hop stuff. I've always respected them cause they created a niche and a subculture...and like in this timeframe there are very few acts in the world that have developed a subculture based on one group. That's what's cool about the Juggalo shyt. I know people laugh at it, but I honestly would like to go to the gathering of the juggalos one of these days. It looks fun, and they've had mad hip-hop acts over ther years play there.

@Juggalo Fred

It inspired me for this Chopped & Screwed mix I made a couple of days ago...

Much of the inspirations was dfrom that 3 six inspired like demonic trap that memphis shyt. DJ Screw is also a huge inspiration of mine too. I love chopped and screwed...I really like Screw and Michael Watts chopped and screwed. I liked the skull pen and pixel stuff too. Like hip-hop is dope cause it crosses all artform and cultural boundaries. And that's the foundation of my musical inspirations and just life in general.

BTW...that "White Iverson" track grew on me like a motherfukker.

Such a peaceful beat:wow:

9th wonder is another inspiration of mine. Little Brother is one of my favorite hip-hop groups ever.

This is my favorite track he's produced ever.

The Ijnstrumental with the Cleo Laine sample...

That whole album is piff...one of my favorites.
