The only time I listen to mainstream music is when I'm the car playing the radio. Black people need to plug themselves out of the media and educate themselves before entering back in.
If you notice as well, rich people have their kids learn classical instrument and music theory. Music is food for your mind and what/how you feed it is important. This is why I listen to and learn older music. Even the way notes are arrange can trigger emotions of hate love etc in you.
I don't want to derail the thread but you reminded me of something I heard on a audiobook I'm listening to (The Luck Factor by Brian Tracy). The Narrator of the book said "the first thing you see in a wealthy persons home is a book collection and the first thing you see in a poor persons home is a big TV"
