I don't believe messanger is equal to prophet. Every prophet is a messanger but not every messanger is a prophet.

Can someone explain to me things about Islam. I know they believe in Muhammad and Allah is their God. I'm looking at a religion to study, so I can see if it's right for me.
Muhammad brought a Message from God to the people of Arabia the same Jesus brought a message to the people of his area and Moses brought a message to his people. Allah is not "their" God, Allah is arabic for God. Christians, Jews, and Muslims believe in the same God, their differences come in the Messengers who brought the same message but in a form that was applicable to the people of that time and place.
