AA care about Africans, it was the CBC (Congressional Black Caucus) that pressured Congress to bring more African immigrants and refugees the beneficiaries were Eritreans, Somalilans, and Rwandans. It was Rep John Lewis who went to JFK where refugees were detained.

Oh for sure. Keith Ellison in Minnesota has always put in work and Somalis love him. IIRC, even in the early 90s AAs were outraged over apartheid, famine in Somalia etc. But the reverse is also true.
