But OKC's downfall happened way before that point when they couldn't do shyt to answer Jokic giving them buckets. They were basically playing not to lose when Jokic checked back in the 4th, not just at the end there.

OKC would've been better served letting Denver attempt a 3 instead of all that fouling to keep them from shooting a 3. Worst that would've happened was a tie and overtime. Too much can go wrong with the fouling up 3 strategy for multiple possessions.
