Thunder didnt slip, they showed why everybody kept doubting them despite winning damn near 70 games. They looked scared inexperienced when shyt got real.

They will be fine. It took some superhuman effort. They will bounce back and learn from this.

My Pops Forever RIP
I'll say it again.. Sam Presti the glorified pick hoarder. Here we are another year where he doesn't put OKC over the top to guarantee a championship. KD was right there for the taking but nope. "But they won the trade!" GTFOH!!
KD wasn't there for them to have without radically changing how the team looks.

OKC can't offer bad contracts + a boatload of picks because they don't have bad contracts. You'd have to deal 3 starters + a prospect + picks for 37 year old KD who will want 2/$120. At least the Dubs can say all they traded for Jimmy was Slow-Mo who they just got, a pick and the corpse of Andrew Wiggins. OKC has good assets everywhere. If you're gonna offer some package of Jalen Williams + Hartenstein + Dort + picks and/or prospects, fukk KD! Give me Booker. Give me Luka if I had the chance to be in on that.

The worst contract on the team is Ousmane Dieng near the end of his rookie deal.

Yes it’s the GM’s fault the coach was an idiot and Chet morphed into Nick Anderson :beli:
If you don’t understand why he said the gm blew it by not getting a kd , a veteran proven scorer and player to help with situations like this then it’s just over your head .. gone bout your day my guy

And the big issue with JDubb is that his offensive bag is a bit limited, and he kinda sucks at passing. Not that he's selfish or is an unwilling passer but he just sucks at it mechanically, and also has a bit of tunnel vision.

His offensive bag is either blindly bee-line driving to the basket, or shooting a contested middy. He's not really a PnR player, doesn't have a post-game (or doesn't use it), and he's not a point guard/ natural facilitator.

So if he's not scoring in transition, he's easy to stop or stifle.

Yeah blowup your team and give away all of your young assets for 37 year old, injury-prone KD rental who hasn’t been able to lead a team anywhere in the past 5 years. Yall love living off of nostalgia instead of being rooted in reality. Don’t quit your day job, get some sleep.

Watching the replay a few more times, that really was an excellent play by Westbrook. I though he was going to Kamikaze to the rim at the end.

Shout out to Westbrook, he has been playing really composed this entire playoffs

He dribbled so fast toward the paint it drew so much defenders towards him, which gave Gordon enough space to hit his 3 pointer

I DONT LIKE THE STRATEGY

:manny:

Not to mention OKC barely played any close games this season, so he's being a bit misleading

Matter of fact, a talking point raised to him towards the end of the season was whether the lack of competitive / late game situations throughout the year would harm OKC during the playoffs once they inevitably have to buckle down.

Exactly. I understand the overall point that OKC needed to get a legit veteran who can knock down shots in clutch moments, but KD is not the answer because of his age and the amount of assets to get him

The better answer would be to get Cam Johnson
