My biggest issue with this GSW super team is...

My Pops Forever RIP
Teams will use this as an excuse not to get better now.

I don't don't think fans and media criticize front office management for how bad it is in the NBA.

Half the teams are just hoping the rules cchange so they can throw money at a free agent in the summer. Not actual scouting and development of the layers they have.

I just hope teams accept the challenge and do more to make their teams better.

Gsw aint going nowhere.
Front offices get criticized all the time. The problem is twofold:

1. Half the time you don't know who they are.

2. If your beef is with the owner it's a losing battle. He's not going anywhere.

But yes, with some teams the strategy now is "wait out Golden State."

I could be wrong, but Golden State was really never looking in. Everybody thought Thunder and Clippers were up next, even people though the Nets could be next up, Golden State went from 2nd round elimination to NBA champions in one season, nobody saw that coming.
W's lost in the first round in 2014. Shout out to Andrew Bogut's ribs and Festus Ezeli's knee. Made the 2nd round in 2013 tho.

But the point he's making is in 2014 we didn't think we had a chance in hell of beating the Heat in the crack dream of us making the finals that year.

Hell managment came out and said they would fire our coach if we didn't make the WCF and everybody was :mjcry: cus we knew there was 0% chance:sadcam:

And then Steph Curry and Draymond Green got REALLY fukking good.

But to the OP's point you have to continue to build on what you have regardless. To give you two examples the Warriors fanbase was split when we signed Iguodala.

Half of us felt like he was the best player we could've picked up. The other half felt he was a panic move that was just going to take minutes away from Harrison Barnes.

When we used the full MLE on Livingston some of us were pissed off because he couldn't shoot.

But those two moves turned out to be crucial to the success of the team. You never know:yeshrug:

Eastern Conference teams have used Brawn as an excuse to either tank or justify futility for a while now.

Leagues always had certain teams and players that dominate for a certain stretch while everyone else just watches. Dubs got that juice right now.

Not enough IMO

BKN is trash and we just laugh at them sometimes...not point out the fact after failing w big names who all left...they have no idea how to run a big market team

PHI will b good in the long run but spent four years defrauding the home fans...they were open w the tank but stilk charged full price

NOP :to: has made trash personnel mive after move but i gotta hear AD is overrated because he cant carry a team that got Bobby Turner from the DLeague Idaho Corn Flickers to a 8 seed in the WEST that means getting swept by GSW

i dont think its all about development. you can only develop guys so much. yall act like anyone could be steph, klay, green, or durant with the proper development. these are guys with natural gifts. once in a lifetime type players they were fortunate to get their hands on. theses types of players arent in every draft. sure some GMs need to do better but there is a lot of luck involved in this too. there may be a gem in the draft you just arent in position to get. and as far as free agency, players hold the power now. if they just dont want to live in a certain city then aint shyt you can do about that.

you cant lay down because you have a salary floor. you have to pay someone. there will be the same huge ass middle tier of teams who arent winning shyt, only thing different is theres 2 teams that can win a title every year instead of 3 or 4

Crazy part is, on the rare occasion that he and Jrue are both healthy they're actually tough to beat. ADs entire tenure has been shyt rosters with no depth.

In the West lottery teams like the Pelicans and fringe playoff teams like the Blazers made big moves at the trade deadline to get better. Spurs are going after CP3 and Morey will surround Harden with more talent

The only ones using excuses not to get better are in the East. They're more than happy drafting midget combo guards till Bron falls off :hhh:

How many teams would have made Tony Parker and Manu what they became?

Not many because the Spurs actually DEVELOP players.

Hell Kahwi is great but he wouldn't be what he is without the Spurs DEVELOPMENT.

More teams need to follow Pop's Blueprint.

ok so what about all other players they have drafted that havent amounted to shyt ? those players became what they did because they had something special about them. you act like they can turn any player into them. that just isnt the case.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
If I'm the Grizzles I take this opportunity to rebuild, there's literally no point in trying to piece that roster together especially with Lord Finesse Chandler Parsons stealing money, I'd stretch provision him, trade Gasol and Conley to the highest bidders & call it a day.

The young teams like the Wolves & Nuggets are really the teams that should be looking to compete with the Warriors in 2-3 years time, everyone else in the West is kidding themselves.

Of course every player ain't gonna pan out.
But when you have a system of developing players you net better overall results.

You forgot that they made Danny Green one of the most productive 3 point shooters in finals history after he was glued to the bench in Cleveland and damn near out the league.

It's so many other examples I could use.
these GMS and coaches need to do thier damn jobs

I'm not gonna disrepect the Dubs and call it luck but the team they have now isn't what they thought they were building 4,5 years ago. Nobody saw Draymond becoming what he is now and nobody saw Curry becoming an MVP, revolutionary type player. Then they hit in the draft twice on Klay and Barnes (I give them props but smart, diligent GMs miss in the draft every year so there's a lot of luck involved). Then all of those pieces happened to fit perfectly together. Then the stuff with Curry's ankles let them sign him to a ridiculously favorable deal immediately before he blew up which allowed them the room to re-sign Klay and Draymond to big deals and then the cap spiked in time for them to have max money still and then there happened to be a superstar talent willing to go to the team that just beat him which is unprecedented. That aint a repeatable formula
