I been here for almost a year now. Most of the things said are fairly accurate. I think it's a great place to raise a family. But there are better cities for bachelors. Good job market depending on the type of work you do.

Whoever said boring downtown was right tho. Coming from the east coast I still don't understand how or why that shyt is so dead.

All in all its a cool place. Not the best but u can do much worse
damn forgot about you. i remember when you were about to move down here and asked what a 1200 a month apartment can get you :heh:

i think you were from the east coast?

where did you decide to stay? if i recall i told you to get an apartment off 75 and henderson because you wanted to be able to walk to bars? i forgot

Aren't your ppl in Mesquite?

I'm not the best person to ask about Dallas b/c

- It's boring to me, but ur married so that won't be an issue. If you're married w/ kids it's a great place to live
- It's too hot :damn:
- Overcrowded, traffic is the worst anywhere I've been
- The real ppl here are really cool, but there's alot of fakeness
- Diversity is lacking
- I like nature, and there's pretty much ZERO in the way of that here
- there are some good housing opps down here. You can rent or buy a bigger/newer house for much better prices than other places :tu: Alot of people move here just for that

Only reason I wouldn't live in Houston is b/c it's even more overcrowded than Dallas. The women in Houston are on another level :shaq:

Dallas fell off in the mid 00's. Too many corporations moved here, and while it does bring jobs the vibe here isn't what it once was.

Of course all this is MY opinion.

Realest shyt spoken.

Dallas in the 90's was :blessed::banderas:

Dallas now is :camby:

Breh, I grew up in this area. It's the other way around, B.

The area was majority white in the 90's. Then nikkas started moving there in the early 2000's. Dallas county also started sending a lot section 8 nikkas in this area. The whites moved out the area and it became majority black as you see today.

My parents finally moved out the area 2 years ago because crime have gotten worse.

Outside Lake Ridge, this area is becoming what the Red Bird area was in the 90's.

When I was a sports playing kid, DeSoto and Duncanville were like the extremely good baseball teams. Lots of Texas Rangers lived there and had kids playing. I remember them being known for having the best marching bands too. Mesquite was like the Redneck town, and Plano was this new place. I remember Frisco being this tiny little town. Sometime between then and me getting to high school the black migration had taken place.

There are still some white people around, but not as close to what it once was in the 90's. People from Midlothian and Red Oak come to shop in Cedar Hill.

Cedar Hill HS was a majority white school when my older Brother and I graduated. Now Cedar Hill HS is like 70% Black.

I think my Senior class, was the last majority white Senior class. :skip:

I think that's happening too, especially with all the new companies showing up along near Mountain Creek and in Lancaster and Wilmer. Wouldn't be surprised to see places like Red Oak start to blow up. Also seeing the moves north get a little too far from civilization. Prosper is damn long way from even working in Frisco or West Plano. So people will have to start moving east and South.

Oh yeah, it's been happening.

When we first moved to that area. Cedar Hill and Midlothian was both 4A schools.

Now both are huge 5A schools now. :mindblown: I heard something about Cedar Hill is 6A now:wtf:
