Sorry for your loss OP. Boston Terriers are easily one of the best breeds for companions. My sister has a 3yo Boston named Franklin that immediately won our whole family over.

I was ready to get another one soon after, but it was the 1st dog my wife ever had and she says she can't go through losing another one. Maybe one day she'll come around. I had dogs all throughout my childhood so I know about losing them. It all hurts the same, but I've always loved dogs and they seem to love me. Everyone's dog no matter where or what follows me ever since I was a kid.

I try not to think about that day with my dog. Like when I think about my future 10-15 years from now. Then I look at him and know it's damn near 0% chance he'll be in it.

Helps keep me in the moment.
