Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Walking down Fulton Street from Foodtown and thinking about the spaghetti I'm about to cook for dinner. I get a call from my brother, which immediately gives me pause because while we're not estranged or nothing we just do talk much so for him to call me out the blue something must be up. And...yeah. Man. I don't really know what to do. He was 63 but looked no older than 50, but had an immune disorder that we thought was behind him for decades now. But...fukk. still processing the shyt

Mine got out the ER just yesteday, for the second time this month

a cold that turned into a RSV that turned into Pnumonia. He is looking and feeling better today. Praying heavy.

This isn't about me, but I shared that to share that I expected to make this post, this week, and that mortality approaches when we don't expect it, and as hard as I prayed i wrote gave his eulogy in my mind 100 times. I'm sorry for your loss brother. God rest his soul.

You have the most sincere condolences from a brother that lost his Mother back in 2014 and still feel it to this day. There's no "getting over it" but you'll learn to live with it because that's the man he raised you to be

You got this breh, take your time.
