I agree with you, but it feels kinda weird to make this point as a man while women seem to be okay with it.
If they aren't bothered, should we intervene? Imagine how you feel when a non black person tries to define racism for you. I'd assume sexism is interpreted similarly for women.
Ironically, I had this realization way back in college when I had a Nepalese professor , straight out of Kathmandu, try to confidently define the meaning of one of MLK's speeches on the depression of racism, based on an Atlanta colloquialism that mlk was to me, a black man actually from Atlanta. I had all types of cognitive dissonance that day at the absurdity of what the professor was doing while he was completely missing how mlk was describing black people
But that brief dissonance allowed me to gain a level of empathy and abstraction I did not have prior to that.
