He ain’t getting fired, epecially with carrier attrition
If he does, they need a paper trail for attendance
And most companies don’t keep that anyway
So it’s easy to fight, especially with the PO
If they didn’t start with an Investigative/PDI
He’s still gucci but even still
The supervisors/management denying union representation can back fire and lead to a whole other can of worms
That’s the easiest way to win a grievance and even if it’s an at will state
It opens the lane for a lawsuit if they fire him without following proper protocol
On at the very least a complaint to Dept. of Labor
And at this point, a lot of management is using this shyt as scare tactics
Knowing damn well ain’t nobody coming through them doors to do any of these jobs at the moment
My advice is read your contract/employee manual/union book and find out the policy on attendance
Get off the damn coli and contact your union rep asap
Yeah they can try to snake you with failure to follow instruction
But if you have a competent union rep
They can get that shyt tossed into the bushes with ease or bare minimum, get the discipline knocked down to a lesser “charge” for the lack of a better term
Just know that win, loss or draw on a grievance
Management about to be on your ass and will definitely find a way to get you out the paint off pure pettiness
