Did the reset as suggested on a forum. Unplugged my fully charged macbook at 10:15 am, it's 10:32 now and its at 98%, so this may be a fix to the problem. It was draining hella fast before. I also had lightroom open so that could be a culprit but I've been online and watching youtube as I normally do. The MacBook is in dark mode.

didn't have that problem with this MBP, its a 2016 13 inch with Touch Bar.

but I've definitely had that problem on MacBooks and more specifically phones when they drop the new OS.

I even threw a new battery in my 2012 MBP to stop the problem, and its continued
