Agreed.

Whats also cringeworthy is how a lot of these gentrifiers and transplants is how they literally are on some carbon copy archetype shyt, into the same damn thing as each other. Literally no sense of diversity in style, no diversity in thought, and the irony is half of them are calling themselves "creatives". Even the stores, shops and whatever basically caters to these one track minded bubble people. The same type of bars, the same type clubs which are raves, the same type coffee shop, the yoga studio. If you go to any of the suburbs outside of nyc whether its in northern new jersey, upstate ny or southeast connecticut, youll see the same shyt...same style of coffee shops, same bars, same shyt. Literally the same shyt everywhere they are at. Nothing innovative creatively artwise or anything for that matter has came out of these spaces. And the biggest irony is that these people practice elitism, tribalism, and all sorts of self segregation shyt too then think that screaming some social justice trend is supposed to hide who they are and what theyre doing.. half of them acting stuck up too. :mjlol:
they literally bytch and complaint about how the city is being held hostage to people who arent "NYers" who come from Long Island and upstate ( or NJ ) and why should we ( i dunno how they are an us when they just got here ) cater to the "suburbs"....

the self delusion with them is WILD because they go on about how they are so liberal and accepting but they are the first to complain about shyt in the neighborhood they moved into for the CHEAP RENT THAT THEY ARE OVERPAYING FOR!!!

Are block parties still a thing up there?

I moved to the south back in '08 from upstate, but I remember my moms always took us to block parties in BK when I was mad young.

“The response is the most aggressive we’ve seen. I hope the mayor’s response will be sustained,” Torres said.

Could this all of a sudden action indicate pressure on city officials from developers? There's a lot of construction going on in and around that area right now.

It's insane how much shyt has changed in 25 years. I was paying a $1.50 for a train fare as a teenager and now almost damn near paying 3 dollars for one fair. :francis:
