They're going to gentrify Inwood and kick out all of the Dominicans. Then the Whites from the Midwest are going to move in and open up Dominican themed vegan spots and Bodega themed thrift shops.

Inwood is already being gentrified. Just drive around. Remember there's only so much available land on the island of Manhatten to build tall luxury apartments for the wealthy. These reps are whores, and will sell native New Yorkers down the river. Brad and Becky from Colorado and Ling Ping from China needs some high priced condos to sink their money into.

One of the first thing that happens before full gentrification is building a cultural center. That usually serves a museum for the past residents.

Whats wrong with gentrification? Inwood upper manhattan area is beautiful Construction companies want to build new buildings to attract young professionals I dont see a problem Oh wait, its racist because the demographics there are dominicans? Dominicans who pay less than $500 rent Are on public assistance such as medicaid and food stamps Send a box filled with food purchased from food stamps to D.R. Every other week Dont have tax paying jobs meaning they usually work off the books... illegal narcotics most of the time Form gangs like the trinitarios ...RIP junior And got a land rover parked outside See the problem is other working dominicans with professions and $60k plus jobs cant afford to even pay their rent let alone a land rover And the thing is they want a land rover So when they see these other dominicans taking advantage of the system they complain to guys like ydanis rodriguez Then comes “gentrification” How about they all educate themselves Get high paying income jobs And buy those old buildings to avoid gentrification

don't get why so many of these folks move to NYC when occasional subway track work where parts of subway lines or entire subway lines aren't running are typical. i could only imagine how these same folks would manage when they were doing construction work on the trains on the williamsburg bridge back in like 1999 until 2003 where the trains weren't running. forget it if we were talking about the manhattan bridge now. i remember when they had shut the south side for almost 20 years. the entire 90s, the south side of the tracks weren't running. the n used to run on the manhattan bridge but it went on the r line going downtown to city hall, the world trade center, rector and whitehall and through the tunnel. it was only the b, d, and q running on the north side and the q was the orange logo with the b and q going all the way to queensbridge. the same orange that is in the artwork of the broadway musical avenue q.
then around 2001, the south side opened and it would be the n, q and w running. no b or d trains. they were also fixing up the stillwell avenue station and the n train only would go right down to 86th street. those were the days. that's why i'm like... you have entire folks fukking running leaving williamsburg because the L train isn't running across the east river?
just that one little thing got them tripping?
