1 man can't walk/deaf, 1 man just had his car repo'd/home foreclosed, doesn't mean that it doesn't affect them the same mentally.
I can't feel your pain, unless I've been through wat you goin through. Even then, it may have a different impact on my life.
The fact that you don't think it's simple fundamentals says enough.
Common sense, not so common.i am not saying that people are killing themselves because they are secretly happy. i never mentioned the word secret, so i'm not sure how you got that at all.
depressed people can still have moments of happiness but they obviously have moments where they can be sad FOR NO REASON other than the fact that they have a mental illness. its a chemical imbalance.
my theory is that the brain creates that difference during a developmental phase, in order to make the brain more "balanced". in other words, the brain already had a chemical imbalance, so the brain "installed" depression in the brain to help balance it

SubsIt exists in the brain in the first place...because of an event(s) that occurred in which one was not able or ready to handle...when you don't utilize healthy coping mechanisms...the brain chemistry will become unbalanced causing clinical depression...you will need meds to bring your brainwaves and serotonin levels back to normal coupled with therapy to root out the origin of the depression...check out my thread on the subject...Suicidal Thoughts & How To Overcome
Depression is weird

Mental and emotional fortitude and patience is what I'm working on and reading up on too. Daily exercise, good nutrition, morning practices...all play a role in maintaining it. I expect setbacks to happen so I will be ready to respond and overcome it.cant be happy all the time
