Deadpool #7 & Deadpool/Daredevil Annual 1997
Deadpool brings Typhoid Mary back to the Hell House and shows her off to the other hired killers. He plans to have her do jobs in order to pay off the debt for breaking her out of the mental hospital. Turns out that T-Ray (Deadpool's arch enemy) was once in a relationship with her. Deadpool later kicks her out of a window accidental, and she randomly has a memory of Daredevil, and tells Wade they need to go kill him.

Wade lets her go to the City first, where she winds up killing like 10 people who wronged her in the past. Deadpool meets up with Daredevil and works with him to go find her, as he did not know she was going to be killing innocent people. Finally when they all come together, Typhoid Mary tells Daredevil that her condition was accidentally caused by a pre-Daredevil Matt Murdock. He had tracked a villain down to the brothel where Mary worked. He attacked the man, but to his surprise, the girls working there came at him. Panicking, he lashed out, knocking Mary out the window. It was at this moment that Mary somehow became Typhoid Mary, vowing no man would ever hurt her again. Daredevil, finally realizing that he is not a murderer, apologizes but will not take responsibility for what she became. After completing a long rant, Mary can not take hearing anymore and kind of passes out. Deadpool takes her with him back home, saying he will keep trying to help her and that he knew all along this would be like one big therapy session.

The Deadpool/Daredevil 1997 Annual was hella good though, recommend reading it.

Psylocke & Archangel: The Crimson Dawn #1-4
From previous issues, we saw that Psylocke was nearly killed by Sabretooth, but her life was saved when Angel, Wolverine and Gomurr the Ancient retrieved the Crimson Dawn when she drank. However, this came with a price. She is becoming increasingly brutal and less sensitive, which is creating problems between her and Archangel. The Shogun named Kuragari has come into power over the Crimson Dawn by slaying Tar, who used to be in control. He is able to capture Psylocke after forcing her to wear a ring that has bound her to him.
Angel was sent to the Crimson Dawn realm to save her, and ack on Earth, Tar’s spirit visited Gomurr, thanking him for the burial and explaining that their past years of enmity had only served one purpose – training lessons for Gomurr to become the rightful next Proctor. Accepting the mantle passed on to him, Gomurr too crossed over to the Crimson Realm and helped Archangel. In order to release Betsy from the Dawn’s hold, Warren sacrificed an unknown amount of his own life-force to pay the debt. Now free of Kuragari’s influence, Betsy’s darkened skin vanished and together they managed to drive Kuragari away. While the lovers returned home, Gomurr remained behind in his new home.

These next g issues are known as the Prologue to Operation: Zero Tolerance.

Generation X #27-28 & X-Men v2 #62-65
Jubilee is being interrogated/tortured by Bastion for information regarding the X-Men. He comes up with lies about her being the last X-Men alive and tries to go into her brain to relive memories of hers. However, he doesn't get very far as she is too stubborn. Meanwhile, Banshee thinks he has figured out where the rest of the young mutants are.

Wolverine, Jean, Cyclops, Cannonball & Storm are in Hong Kong where they meet Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu. They want his help to track down Sebastian Shaw, who they believe is after the Elixir Vitai, which may hold a cure to the Legacy Virus. After a brief battle the X-Men and Shang-Chi enter into a temporary truce with Sebastian Shaw, who secretly is handed Moira McTaggert‘s legacy virus data by Rory Campbell. Cannonball follows a mysterious rickshaw driver to the Fujikawa company. Later the X-Men invade the same company since they think it has the Elixir Vitae. They find the Kingpin waiting for them. Turns out that he has the same plan for the Elixir as Sebastian. With the X-Men, Kingpin & Shaw at a standoff, Storm decides to use her powers and destroy the base and the Elixir. This ends the confrontation, but it may have destroyed a possible Legacy Virus cure.

On their way home from Hong Kong, the X-Men's plane is literally stopped in mid-air by Operation: Zero Tolerance. Banshee and Emma Frost were alerted to this and immediately headed to help. Meanwhile, the Generation X students were able to get to Los Angeles, and at the same time Jubilee had attacked one of Bastions servants which causes a bunch of mechanical bees to attack her.

One by one, the OZT forces take out Cannonball, Cyclops and Storm. Eventually, they also capture Wolverine and Jean Grey as well and take them all into custody. All of this is caught on television and most of the general populace is happy except for a select few. Among those not happy about what is happening include Iceman (who immediately leaves to go help), his father, and Cecilia Reyes. At the Xavier Institute, Bastion and more of his forces break in and Bastion is able to access Xavier’s computer and all his encrypted files.

Operation: Zero Tolerance has officially begun.

X-Force #67-68
The Mutant Liberation Front took over a medical research center in Missouri believing that they were secretly developing another form of the Legacy Virus. They become surrounded by Zero Tolerance operatives, and Domino, Siryn & Sunspot show up to help. They make their way inside the building only to find that they are all trapped, and Zero Tolerance has the upperhand. It is at this point that Dani Moonstar reveals to everyone that she is an agent of SHIELD.

Dragoness, Tempo and Wildside are captured, but Domino sacrifices herself so that Moonstar, Forearm, Sunspot and Siryn are able to escape. Outside they realize that Meltdown, Rictor and Shatterstar are not present. Commander Gryaznova leads a squad into the Wakeman Center and Gryaznova is very pleased when they find Domino, and informs her soldiers that she will take care of Domino personally. Gryaznova lies to Bastion, assuring him that Domino escaped. At a safe location, Moonstar apologizes to Forearm for being undercover in the MLF. Forearm is hurt as he had feelings for Dani and he runs off from the group. Domino wakes in a facility, where Gryaznova reveals that the two of them have already met, explaining that she has traced Domino’s exploits for years, following her myriad of aliases around the world. Domino denies all these exploits of course, until Gryaznova details an assignment Domino did many years ago involving the rescue of Dr. Rebecca Schuyler, which resulted in Domino destroying an advanced robot which was cybernetically linked to Gryaznova, and rendered her in a coma. Gryaznova explains that she was then reborn as a Prime Sentinel, hoping that Bastion’s crusade would eventually lead her to Domino for revenge. She then renders Domino unconscious again, only for Domino to wake up on an operating table with three doctors ready for action - her luck as officially run out! Meanwhile, Warpath begins his mission for Sledge, into a parallel world to find an associate of Sledge’s, and in return, Sledge promises to give him information which will lead Warpath to Michael Whitecloud, who has information about the massacre that killed Warpath’s people.

Cable #45-47
Cable receives word from G.W. Bridge that Zero Tolerance has ambushed the Xavier Institute where Caliban is resting. He decides he must go there to stop them from harming him as well as stop them from gaining the secret files of Charles Xavier. He is able to free Caliban and secure the files, right before meeting Bastion face to face. He can not kill Bastion because he has already downloaded the cerebro information and told his soldiers to kill all mutants on the disk if any harm comes to him, therefore the two must part ways at a stalemate. Cable is suspicious that Bastion is something other than human.

The Generation X students wind up being set up by Skin's ex girlfriend, Tores, in his hometown, but when Zero Tolerance almost kills her too, she takes their side as the make their escape. Meanwhile Emme & Banshee run into Emplate's sidekick who tells them that Emplate can give them the location of the kids in return for Penance.

Shockingly, Emma Frost telepathically knocks out Banshee in order to make the deal, feeling it is the lesser of two evils. Also, Jubilee is approached by a female member of Zero Tolerance who found out the is a bit less than human, and decides that if Jubilee is a freak, then so is she. Therefore she decides to help Jubilee escape.

Banshee wakes up and punches Emma just before she makes the transaction and Emplate flees. He tells her that she is no longer welcome at the school. Jubilee is able to escape thanks to the heroic efforts of the servant of Bastion. The other students have one final run in with the Sentinels and a huge explosion occurs, we know for sure that Synch and M have survived, but it seems that M has turned into two young girls...

I am intrigued by this M chick, she seems to be the strongest student of Generation X and has the most interesting back ground.

X-Men v2 #66
We meet a female Doctor in New York named Cecilia Reyes who is worried about Operation Zero Tolerance because she has been living with the secret of being a mutant for her entire life. It all comes to an end when a Sentinel attacks her at the hospital. When she uses her power to create a force field around herself, her secret is official lost. She is saved by Iceman and she escapes with him, begrudgingly because she had apparently been promised never to be outed by Charles Xavier when he asked her to be an X-Man years ago.

Meanwhile, we see that Cannonball, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey & Cyclops are all in custody of Bastion in the old Hulkbuster Base.

Wolverine v2 #115

They plan to bring him in for his previous crimes, apparently they were affected by something he did in the past. However, Remy breaks free from them and as the X-Men make their escape, they are stopped by Nanny and the Orphan-Maker.

Excalibur #111-112
A lifetime friend of Peter Wisdom is killed by a woman from Peter's past, when he gets too close to discovering some valuable information about her. Meanwhile, Colossus & Meggan's plane is struck down by a suicide bomber, and Colossus must carry Meggan through the snowy mountains to safety.

X-Men v2 #67-69
Ruth Bat-Seraph is a super agent of the Israeli Secret Service. Apparently she is a mutant sympathizer who wants to help the X-Men during Operation: Zero Tolerance. She collects a disk with valuable information, and is attacked by Sentinels, but manages to defeat them.

Meanwhile, Iceman and Cecilia Reyes are taken into Police Headquarters by the Angel's Ex girl, Charlotte Jones. However, we find out that this was a set up as Jones was forced to take them in, in order to get her kidnapped son back. After fighting the Sentinels in the Police Department, Jones gets shot and Cecelia must keep her alive. They meet up with Marrow and once again get surrounded by more Sentinels in the street.

They are saved by Ruth Bat-Seraph who is a mutant now calling herself Sabra. She brings them information on where Detective Jones son is being kept, and they travel to Connecticut to find him. They arrive at Bastion's home and Iceman fights him, they find out that he is indeed not fully human, and just as the fight is about to get heavy, SHIELD shows up. Senator Robert Kelly sent them, and made sure that Operation: Zero Tolerance was officially shut down.

Pretty sure that Cecilia Reyes, Sabra & Marrow will be important to the X-Men family after all of this.

Wolverine v2 #118
Even though Bastion was defeated, it did not come without X-Men casualties. For example, we find out that Cyclops had something implanted within him, and the X-Men rush him home to the medi-lab.

200eg42.jpg

Uncanny X-Men #348
Gambit, Rogue, Joseph, and the Bounty Hunters are now locked up by Nanny in Magneto's old base, that was thought to be destroyed. Meanwhile, Deathbird has Gambit in a medi-lab after the crash, explaining to him that all his teammates are dead.

X-Factor #138
Sabretooth is really putting in work now. The hound program he works for feeds him names, and he kills them even though he is only supposed to bring them in. His partner Stone tries to stop him and Victor tells him to watch his back. Suddenly, Sabretooth is attacked by Omega Red, who plans to bring him to Elana Ivanova in exchange for the Carbonadium Synthesizer, which can reverse Omega Red's condition. Sabretooth however destroys Omega in the fight and he runs away, and then Sabretooth pays Stone a visit and hurts him badly. Meanwhile, Mystique is still hunting Victor down.

9hkwue.jpg

Deadpool #8-9
Typhoid Mary escapes from Deadpool and starts killing innocent people on the streets. Deadpool finally stops her, but he must brutally beat her down to do it, which proves Mary's point that he is not the hero he is trying to be.

Uncanny X-Men #349-350
Psylocke fights Maggot (the guy who has been searching for Joseph) in New York. Meanwhile, the other X-Men are able to defeat Nanny and get out of the old Magneto base, however they still wonder who was pulling the strings behind it all. Afterwards, Gambit decides to turn himself in to the bounty hunters instead of telling the truth himself.

Damnn just read the trial, cosign @ShencotheMC X-Men acting like some bytches.

Ok so, Spat & Grovel take Gambit to their employers underground base, whoever that may be, with the other X-Men in their trail trying to free him. Suddenly, Joseph senses the base and magnetically rips it out of the ground to the surface. They enter the building, and at the same time Psylocke, Maggot & Archangel are teleported there by one of Psylocke's shadows. One by one, each of them is taken down and forced to play a part in the oncoming Trial of Gambit. When the trial begins, the host is finally revealed to be Erik the Red. If you don't recognize the name, its a cover identity that Cyclops even used in the past. Archangel is appointed as the defender, and the rest are the jury. Gambit begins to tell them how he worked alongside Sinister when he was a thief and after his wife Belladonna died. He made a deal to gather some people for Sinister in exchange for something he desperately needed. Next, Rogue is forced to kiss Gambit and finally reveal all of his secrets. They find out that he was the man who assembled the Marauders, including Sabretooth, and officially started the Morlock Massacre. Even though he did not know this was going to happen, Angel (lost his wings due to the massacre) and Rogue act like they can never forgive him and he's some horrible evil villain SMDH. Gambit even tried to help some of the Morlocks and was successful in saving the life of Marrow when she was a child. Erik the Red finally self-destructs his base and the X-Men all escape, Rogue leaving Gambit on a mountain somewhere telling him he has no home with the X-Men again, bytch.

Then we find out the truth of Erik the Red and who he really is (I kind of saw this coming).

So who is Joseph???

X-Men v2 #70
This was a pretty sick issue. Iceman, Cecilia Reye and Marrow arrived at the X-Mansion to find it abandoned, with nothing left in it at all (Bastion took everything). Suddenly, Wolverine, Jean, Cannonball and Storm show up with Cyclops in their arms. He has a bomb stuck in his abdomen, and Dr. Reyes must step up to the plate to get it out. She gets to work when Juggernaut suddenly shows up with a lawyer saying he is rightful owner with Charles being MIA. They begin to battle when the other X-Men who were lost in space show up (Rogue, Joseph, Beast, Maggot & also Trish Tilby). Juggernaut decides pick his battles wisely and leaves. Wolverine then gives Trish a piece of his mind, saying that news reporters like her cause things like this to happen and he and Beast get into it. Long story short, with the help of Joseph and Beast, Cecilia is able to remove the bomb and one of the 'slugs' that Maggot carries with him devours the bomb and contains the explosion.

Setting up some interesting things in this issue though:
Wolverine and Beast currently hate each other.
Marrow living in the house with Storm, who almost killer her.
This guy Maggot has some type of secret.
Will Dr Reyes join the X-Men.
Bishop lost in space with Deathbird.
Gambit gone.
If Joseph isn't Magneto, who is he?

Gambit is back to stealing things, and winds up stealing a cross which leaves him wanted by a very dangerous Miami gangster. Shortly after he is shot by the gangsters men, falls into the ocean and is on the verge of drowning.

Gambit v2 #2
He winds up being saved by two people of the Vatican, sent by Father Bonavita. Gambit winds up fukking a young nun, whom he didn't realize was a nun lol. Unfortunately they are stopped by the head zombie bytch, Sybil and her eveil plague of locusts. Basically its like hell on earth outchea.

Gambit v2 #4
In the end, they all meet outside the Vatican, and Sister Katrina is transformed into an evil version of herself. Gambit must choose between saving her or Anielle, and he chooses Katrina. Basically he saved the human soul in need, rather than good/evil personified or some shyt... it was the right choice.

Deadpool #11
Deadpool and Blind Al go back in time and he has to disguise himself as a young college student Peter Parker, but without screwing up the timestream. Its pretty funny how they make fun of Spider-Man & friends from back in the day.

When she returns to work she finds everyone dead, and some Hellfire goons attack her, but before long Cable arrives and saves her. Cable winds up sneaking into Pierce's home, and finds out his plans to find Apocalypse, destroy him, and harness his power... which Cable must stop. Next we see a flashback of Apocalypse entombing one of his minions in some type of casket. We see that Shaw & The Hellfire Club are now in possession of this tomb and plan to let the minion out, after they were approached by a former friend of Apocalypse named Ch'Vayre.

Cable finds out about this thanks to his Mother Madelyn Pryor, who does not agree with Shaw unleashing this force. He arrives in London, where the Hellfire Club has unleashed this ancient man of great power. He destroys the building they are in and sets off to observe the world and see how worth the people are. Meanwhile, Cable and Merryweather go off in search of Ch'varye, Shaw & Peirce.

X-Factor #139
Mystique being real as fukk lately, she is currently pretending to be the wife of US Senator Ralph Brickman (who has disappeared a while ago). Basically her goal is to make it so finding Sabretooth is a major operation so she can handle him. Meanwhile we find out that Havok and his Brotherhood is all a ploy to find out the secrets behind the Dark Beast and take him down. We see that he has hundreds of innocent being held in pods for experimentation.

After he defeats him, nearly killing him, the police want to take Nate in but the citizens of New York surround him and will not let the cops take their new hero.

Kitty Pryde: Agent of SHIELD #1-3
Kitty was recruited by the international law enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D. to repair the computer system of their flying headquarters. Kitty discovered the problem was due to Ogun’s spirit having infiltrated the computer system, and with the aid of Wolverine, she managed to purge Ogun's presence. During this time, Kitty was attracted to a S.H.I.E.L.D. intern her own age, and this made her begin to doubt her relationship with Wisdom.

Generation-X #33-35

They try to retrieve it but find out the girl who has it is the daughter of a cop whose been helping them. Meanwhile Emplate comes across Chimera & Dirtnap who just teleported from their fight with Wolverine & Venom.

Jubilee finds out about the gun and the diary when the young girl returns the items. Skin explains that the gun was used by him when his cousins and ex-girl forced him on a drive by against a rival gang. He faked his death after that incident, and that is what brought him to Gen-X. The girl gives them back their things but they must help her out in return.

Meanwhile back at the mansion, Chimera and Emplate arrive and attack, however the M twins wake up, combine back into M and morph themselves into their brother, Emplate, creating one being that is the combination of all three...

Excalibur #115-117
On Muir Island, Moira MacTaggart tries something drastic. Frustrated with her progress on the Legacy Virus, she decides to quarantine herself, which could very well mean the death of her if she doesn't figure out the virus, with no contact to the outside world. As she says her goodbyes and the door begins to shut, Wolfsbane (her adoptive daughter) runs in and gets locked in the room with no way out and no containment suit.

Meanwhile, Nightcrawler is trapped in some dark hole with a bunch of aliens. We find out it is the Sidri, who plan to kill him because of some mission way back in the beginning of the Nightcrawlers stay with the X-Men, when they were in space and failed to help these aliens. Colossus and the group go after him in Italy, but the Sidri are tough to beat. Obviously they defeat him and return home, where Kitty just got back from SHIELD and plans to tell Pete Wisdom about her new man.

X-Men v2 #71
Jean & Scott take a vacation from the team, leaving a house full of newcomers who are not getting along with the X-Men quite well. In Italy, Sebastian Shaw gets a message from someone who stops the flow of time and tells him to read it and then there will be a meet. He finds Siryn, and fights Warpath when he won't let him see her. This pisses Siryn off bad, and then Deadpool gets in her face when she declines talking to him. Later, she finds him drunk and forgives him, kisses him, and says she loves him.

It turns out the next morning, it was Typhoid Mary all along, that bytch cray. He gets home and finds out that Blind Al has been letting Weasel in his house, so he knocks Weasel out and sends Al off in to this room called "the box". Then he goes to meet T-Ray for their fight. T-Ray uses various magic tricks by using Japanese encrypted cards, and even manages to somehow make it snow. He wants Wade to remember how their argument began years ago, in the symmetry in the ice-cold snow. T-Ray takes out his scythe, and sticks it right through Deadpool’s heart! He collapses in the snow, remaining motionless for many hours…

The group found out and exterminated the camp, and before Whitecloud could tell Warpath who was behind it all his head exploded.

They wished to travel back in time to prevent their era from happening. While a member of the X.U.E., Shard was permanently linked to Fixx, a mutant with psionic abilities. X-Men #34-36

Somehow after Nate visits the hospital, her arm grows back and she wakes up from her coma, causing the whole city to believe Nate did it and he becomes a superstar. Purple_Man.jpg

Nate then saves an entire crowd at a basketball game from some political terrorist bombing. However, they get brought into the police station and detonate themselves, leaving the world wondering how Nate could allow something like this to happen, and if he might even be behind it. Purple Man was behind it all, and we find out that he has one of Nate's friends, Bux, as his associate. We find out that Purple Man was using her to get at Nate, forcing her to work with him. When Nate & Purple Man finally meet we find out that he had been subtly manipulating both the population of Manhattan and Nate himself into accepting and embracing him as a modern messianic figure, who would become so psychologically empowered by hero-worship that he would literally change the reality of the world using the full potential of his mutant power. The plan ultimately fails when Nate learns the truth and loses his confidence, thus reducing his power. Jam's arm is once again lost, as it was just a psionic projection. Nate contemplates jumping off a building due to his failure, but a voice stops him...

The destruction caused by Nate vs. Purple Man standoff:

Generation X #36
M-Plate traveled with Chimera & Synch to a place on the edge of Time called the Citadel of the Universal Amalgamator, which was a weapon of vast power that could merge every individual consciousness into a giant "godhead". Generation X was able to follow with the help of some weird time travelers.

Uncanny X-Men #353-354
Rogue is having nightmares where she is stealing people's powers, like Wolverine for example. Angel is having issues with Psylocke, who is trying to convince him that he wants to be with her more than the team. Then a woman from Department of Education comes by and puts the school on some kind of probation. Meanwhile Wolverine is attacked, and when they see Rogue near him the X-Men all blame her. She runs off and then Sauron (original Brotherhood of Mutants member) pops up and attacks.

Uncanny X-Men #353-354 Continued
Suaron kind of beats the shyt out the X-Men at first, but is defeated in the end by a powerful blast from Jubilee. Meanwhile, Rogue runs away setting off for The Agee Institute in Manhattan, a place where a scientist believes he can turn mutants into humans, or remove the mutant gene.

X-Factor #143
From Bishop/Shard's alternate timeline, the group of traitors to their cause (XUE) make their way to present day earth. The only way that they (Greystone, Fixx & Archer) could travel to the past was by being transformed into one of Fixx's psychic fairies via Shard and they were able to inhabit the bodies of three recently deceased victims of a bus hijacking which led to a crash. Archer took over the body of an international terrorist named Jude Black and along with Fixx and Devlin Greystone set out to carry out their mission -- to destroy the future era in which they lived by stopping the events that put its horrors into motion. To do this, the X.U.E. lured Mystique to them in order to gain her (and X-Factor's) participation to stop the Dark Beast who kept a strain of the Legacy Virus infecting humans in a subterranean lab.

Cable #54
After fleeing from Apocalypse's lair, Cable crash lands in the Nation of Wakanda. He befriends the Black Panther, and later helps him out when his cousin teams up with Klaw.

X-Force #75
This double sized issue starts out with Dani Moonstar, Warpath, Siryn, Sunspot & Boomer meeting at some giant festival in the middle of the desert featuring lots of punk-rock type people. Soon they find that Karma (original New Mutant student) is there as well, with a new hairstyle and she also hints that she is a lesbian.

2506l91.jpg

We also see that Locus & Reignfire are still keeping tabs on Bobby. Moonstar and Warpath are soon attacked Selene. Selene explains her plan - to open the gateway to the nine dimensions and summon the unimaginable power from that. Selene’s plan is put into motion, but Moonstar musters the strength to wake Warpath, who breaks Moonstar from the frozen state she is in, and together, they remove the runestaff from Selene. But Warpath loses the runestaff, and it lands in a giant statue - bringing it to life. Boomer and Sunspot dance together - and end up kissing. Shortly after, Boomers boyfriend & Sunspots best friend, Cannonball, shows up and they neglect to tell him. X-Force begin to protect the crowds from the giant statue. Cable watches the events unfold, reluctant to get involved for fear of X-Force discovering he has been keeping tabs on them. Moonstar defeats Selene, by revealing Selene’s greatest fear to her. The combined efforts of X-Force, Cannonball and Karma soon take down the colossal man, with no loss of life. Afterwards, the festival ends, and Cable realizes that X-Force can take care of themselves.

Deadpool #15
Deadpool goes with Zoe Culloden to the Landau Luckman & Lake facilities. He gets into a lot of trouble and makes enemies with some of the higher ups, but in the end he winds up saving the day and they tell him they will offer him a contract. He completely sons this guy lmao:

Emplate and DOA escape with a lepton imploder, while Generation X loads back onto the interdimensional train except for Synch & Penance, who wants to stay and help the chained mutant, Gaia. The train pulls out of that dimension, heading into another vortex back towards the Biosphere. Just before the train vanishes into the next vortex, Elwood tells the team to try the Warp Chamber in the Diner. In the other dimension, Synch and Penance cuts through Gaia’s chains, and they escape the crumbling citadel through a hidden portal underneath the altar, which leads to the storage room at the Diner. The trio of mutants land on two bullies who were working at the diner. Gaia and Penance rush out of the diner, leaving Synch to take the brunt of the bullies’ wrath. The sadistic pair beat Synch until he is hardly breathing, and then leave him for dead on the side of the road, where the rest of the team finds him on the way to the Diner.

X-Men v2 #73-75

Storm, Cannonball and Rogue find Maggott, who tells them that he thinks Eany and Meany are killing people, but Storm tells him otherwise. Beast and Cecilia, who is horrified over her new costume, find Wolverine and the real murderers, who aren’t the N’garai that Wolverine suspected were behind this. Marrow joins them in fighting the demons, but they are all captured and taken to the N’garai home world.

k489xk.jpg

The X-Men are then transported to Ukraine, where they encounter many dead bodies and another cairn to the N’garai home world. Storm and the others follow. The X-Men encounter Pilgrimm in the other world and discover that the demons are the Ru’tai, who were inspired to overthrow the slave laboring N’garai after Wolverine came and slaughtered many of them. The X-Men attack Pilgrimm and the Ru’tai, but it is Cecilia who finally defeats the demon by accidentally cracking his Eye of Kierokk with her ass. The world falls apart as the X-Men escape with the civilians. They appear in Las Vegas. However, unbeknownst to them, Pilgrimm has traveled to their world in the disguise of a human student. Maggott is cleared of all charges while Marrow and Cecilia become more confident in their roles as X-Men.

Deadpool is not having such a good time, even though he refuses to admit it. Weasel has walked out on him and in return, Wade leaves a time bomb in Weasel’s now empty apartment. Blind Al is no longer talking to him. In an attempt to define if Wade is or is not their Messiah, Landue Luckman & Lake send him on a mission to Greece to kidnap a man named Mr. G, who hasn’t paid his debts. Wade drags Bullseye along with him and, after the usual soldier killing and such, they both easily succeed at their job. Even though they aren’t real buds, as such a thing doesn’t exist in their line of work, Bullseye warns Wade to take a vacation and try to figure out who he really is, or else things won’t turn out good for him. Elsewhere, Patch is enjoying a fun time as business is going well at his Hellhouse ever since both Deadpool and T-Ray have stopped showing up. When an angry Ajax and his soldier enter, claiming they are after Deadpool and want him dead, Patch even pays the guy to make sure he succeeds.

X-Men v2 #76
In this issue we find out the origin of Maggot: At first, he kept his past to himself, but Maggott eventually revealed his origin to Wolverine. Maggott had been born a sickly child in Apartheid-era South Africa and was named Japheth. He was always very ill and he could not digest solid food. Feeling himself to be a burden on his family, he ran away from home. Having left home, hoping to die, he was found by Magneto who released the slugs from his body and revealed to Japheth his mutant power. This turned his skin blue for the first time, and he named the slugs Eany and Meany. Japheth immediately rejected Magneto's philosophy and his offer to join him after he shortly witnessed later the Master of Magnetism brutally massacre numerous white South African soldiers who were engaged in racist atrocities against black South African civilians (despite the fact that one of these civilians was Japheth's eldest brother who died in the violence).

Later, back at the school, Nicole (one of the St. Croix twins) tells the story of how her brother Marius, better known as Emplate, turned their older sister Monet into Penance as punishment for her not wanting to be partners with him to conquer a reality. Nicole and Claudette walked in the room after the transformation, and banished Emplate to another dimension. Penance followed along since he was the only person who could change her back. To make up for her older sister’s disappearance, the twins merged and took her place. After this touching story Nicole is determined to make things right with her older sister, and after joining with Claudette, they merge with Penance, releasing the real Monet. Now free, the real Monet feels guilty that her little sisters are now trapped in the form of Penance, since only her brother can reverse the terrible curse.

After removing his heart Wilson's healing factor first manifested itself, regenerating the mercenary a new heart but also costing him his sanity in the process. Taking the codename Deadpool, he hunted down and seemingly killed Ajax. Obviously Ajax has survived and he tracked down Killebrew & tortured him until he gave up the way to find Deadpool, thus the teleportation and punching off the cliff.

X-Men v2 #77-78
Storm receives a package from a woman who saved her life as a child in Africa named Ainet. It seems as if she is in trouble, and she asks Wolverine, Cannonball, Dr Reyes, Marrow & Maggot to join her in helping. They are taken to Africa with help of Psylocke & her new found teleporting abilities. When they arrive they find that a magical being named Ananasi has taken mind control over the villagers of Storm's home. Psylocke took Storm to the astral plane to fight Ananasi where it is revealed that he is truly the Shadow King. The Shadow King reveals to Psylocke that while he was defeated by Charles Xavier, he was not killed as everyone thought, since he can live feeding only on one dark thought in one man's heart. He only needed time and a chance. Psylocke injured the Shadow King with her psi-blade. The damage was transferred to every being under the control of the Shadow King at the speed of thought. This caused a chain reaction magnifying the assault a trillion times, which destroyed Psylocke's astral being. The wave of psi-energy was so intense and pure that it broke the psi-plane itself, damaging the collective subconscious of every being on Earth, the basis of the psi-plane. Most humans felt things such as déjà vu, nightmares, migraines or nosebleeds. However, those born with psionic, telepathic or intuitive abilities were overloaded and, in a sense, maimed. Jean Grey, Nate Grey, Cable, Emma Frost, Chamber and Bianca LaNiege were devastated. "Maddie" Pryor, Nate Grey's psionic construct made from Madelyne Pryor's psionic remnants, was completely obliterated. Dr. Strange and Spider-Man were also affected.

akhl5z.jpg

With the psi-plane damaged and the Shadow King controlling the astral plane, chaos manifested in the world. Psylocke was re-constructed as a creature of shadows due to her exposure to the Crimson Dawn. Her new shadow-astral form was both incredibly powerful and undetectable by the Shadow King. Psylocke pretended to be tempted by Farouk's offer of becoming the Shadow Queen; however, she only wanted to distract him while Storm was freeing the other X-Men. Farouk saw through the trick and Psylocke sent the X-Men to the physical word. She herself remained behind, weakened. Farouk then extended his influence to all the population on Earth. This stretched his power too thin, leaving his nexus point, which is a pink orb and is the equivalent of his soul and mind, vulnerable. Psylocke decides instead of predictably using her psychic knife, to instead subtlety bind his nexus in telepathic shadow tendrils, essentially trapping him in the astral plane while she focuses her power on him. The Shadow King screams in pain as he began losing his grip on all the minds he took, the people of the real world regain their sanity and senses. The Shadow King begins to be dissolved in the shadow, as he tells her that she cannot contain him. She tells him that she is only containing his soul and that the rest of him will disappear into nothing after being cut from its source. Shadow King reminds her that she cannot hold him forever. She is one mind as well and it will keep the total focus of her powers to stop him. As his face disappears from existence, he tells her that the instant she uses her telepathy again the barrier will be weakened and he will be free. Psylocke admits that it is probably true but she accepts this sacrifice, resisting even when Farouk tried to tempting her from the inside. This means Psylocke will not be able to use her psionic abilities any longer.

He seeks her on the psi-plane, but Madelyne jealously interferes. Nate's effort is interrupted when the psi-plane shatters around him, robbing he and Madelyne both of their telepathy. This was a direct result of the battle between Psylocke & Shadow King on the Psi-Plane.

Cable senses some trouble for Domino and rushes to help, but by the time he gets there she is unconscious and he takes her to the hospital. From his psi-rapport with Domino he is able to detect who the attack was and he finds him. After beating his ass he goes into Blockade's mind and basically shuts it down leaving him catatonic forever. Police send a copy of the report to SHIELD who figures out that it is Cable, and he is now a wanted man.

Before she kills them, Cannonball asks Marrow if she wants to still be a monster and Marrow agrees that she doesn't. He brings him to a German woman's home in the Swizz Alps and they take it over. When Ajax shows up, Deadpool traps him under an avalanche, along with the woman's (Ilaney) home. Apparently Deadpool must kill Ajax or be haunted by ghosts of his victims forever. When Killebrew informs Deadpool that he actually doesn't know how to stop Ajax, that's when he arrives again. Killebrew decides to help, and sacrifices himself top help Deadpool and getting killed by Ajax in the process. Wade and Ilaney jump off a cliff in order to escape, but unfortunately Ilaney doesn't survive the fall. Wade, infuriated, sets up traps for Ajax and finally lures him underwater where he is able to snap the mans neck. When he returns to Ilaney he finds that she actually did survive.

Deadpool is happier than he's ever been, but still doesn't understand why Blind Al won't leave after he set her free. He goes to Landau Luckman & Lake and captures Montgomery, who showed him his future and gave him optimism, to repay him. He brings him to a casino where he plans to use his precog abilities, however they wind up fighting a french guy. During the fight Monty is pushed out a window, but he lands in a pool. This makes him extremely happy because he thought he would die, proving there can be surprises in life. Unfortunately, when he gets back to LL&L the overboss Dixon has the memories erases because he doesn't want people liking Deadpool.

X-Force #79-80
With all of X-Force shackled in a desolated building in Las Vegas, Reignfire begins to explain his origin. He was not an evil Sunspot, which many had believed, but a clone of him created from his cellular material. Gideon injected a sample of Sunspot's blood into his container. With a set of genetic material to duplicate, the protoplasmic goo began to pattern itself on the DNA sample given to it and thus shared Sunspot's appearance and powers. Another added bonus was the fact that, when he was within close proximity, he could activate a telepathic link with his host and psychically imprint himself onto Sunspot—explaining why Sunspot would sometimes seem to be evil.

He intended to kill them all, but Warpath showed up and spoiled the plans. Skids battles Locus who is about to teleport Warpath’s head off. Skids’ powers interrupt the portal however, and she and Locus are teleported thousands of miles from Las Vegas to an icy wasteland. On the streets of Las Vegas, Doctor Joshua has arrived, and blasts Reignfire with an energy disruptor. Sunspot encounters Doctor Joshua, and takes the disruptor, which he continues to use on Reignfire - only Reignfire’s physical form is taken apart - but his remains engulf Sunspot, combining the two!

Moonstar uses a psychic arrow on Reignfire and learns that Sunspot is still in there and struggling to wrest control of his body. While X-Force continue to quell Reignfire’s destructive rage, they locate the disruptor, planning to free their friend from Reignfire’s hold. Eventually they trap Reignfire in a chapel, and bombard him with their powers, before using the disruptor on him, which separates Sunspot and Reignfire’s form. Sunspot, generally fine, proceeds to reabsorb all the power Reignfire stole from him, and Reignfire is left a withered husk. SHIELD arrives and takes the remains of Reignfire and Doctor Joshua into custody, leaving X-Force free.

Sunspot arrives at DaCosta International headquarters and explains his situation to the Board, and is cleared of any wrongdoings. Arriving in San Francisco after Sunspot arranged for them to fly from Las Vegas to San Fran, X-Force realize Sunspot’s trust fund is no longer frozen. Sunspot takes them to a warehouse which he is leasing from DaCosta International for the team’s new headquarters. Sunspot announces that he is taking them all to Hawaii for a vacation.

Meanwhile Skids and Locus are stuck in a snow-covered wasteland. Skids tells Locus they should work together to survive, but Locus only wishes her powers weren’t cancelled out by Skids’ power so she could scatter Skids across the globe. They begin to fight, before a mysterious stranger arrives and puts them in a trance.

Cable #57
Cable finds out that Blaquesmith is being held hostage in some tomb in Egypt. When he arrives he is suddenly affected, like all other pii-mutants, by Pyslocke/Shadow King battle, and like everyone else he loses his powers. He is able to free Blaquesmith, but now he has that to worry about.

X-Factor #148
Havok invites Polaris out to talk about their issues, when Peter Gyrich shows up to take him in for terrorism. Polaris saves him and the two are able to work together to defeat them. When one of Gyrich' droids malfunctions, Havok saves his life, but he still decides to arrest him afterwards. Luckily, Val Cooper shows up and overrides the decision, taking Polaris and Havok with her... and the two decide their relationship is officially over.

X-Man #42-44
Nate & Maddie are flying over the Atlantic Ocean when an earthquake occurs and is approaching a small town. Nate is able to stop it, but his intervention causes an avalanche at the mountain. Nate & Maddie minimize the destruction, and then have fun in town before a fire breaks out that Nate can't control oblivious to some strange, mechanical creatures fanning the fire. During the commotion, the man named Ness or Witness finally finds Nate, just before he flies in the air and creates a thunderstorm, overexerting himself and passing out. When they go to find where he landed, he is gone.

Maddie finds him later at some hotel recovering. He wants to go back to New York to the X-Men to find out they he lost his Psi-Powers, but she won't let him. Meanwhile, murders are occurring in Dublin by some guy who is burning vicitims alive and stealing their energy. Nate tracks him down because he has life patterns of an Age of Apocalypse inhabitant, but when he finds him he sees he looks exactly like him.

Then we find out that it is actually Holocaust, now going by Nemesis, who can shape change now. With Madelyne's help, Nemesis's armor implodes, leaving him to escape in his human form. Apparently he has plans to go hook up with the Dark Beast.

Exalibur #120-125

This will be the last 6 issues of Excalibur volume 1, which I'm pretty happy about.

Peter Wisdom has left Excalibur because he finds out that Kitty Pryde has a crush on some guy she worked with at SHIELD. Colossus & Meggan have issues because she called him out on having feelings for her. Douglock helped Moira & Wolfsbane get out of quarantine, thought Rahne was hella mad at him afterwards. Nightcrawler is starting to feel out of the loop when he hasn't heard from the X-Men in a while.

Excalibur is approached by Sabra, a mutant from Israel who is a member of Xavier's Underground. They help her with a the threat of Xavier's son Legion. While David was considered deceased, some of his alternate personalities remained trapped between life and death, manifesting as spirits. When the spirits started terrorizing Israel, Excalibur was called to stop them. After learning that the spirits were refusing death, Meggan used her empathy to calm their rage, convincing them to go "towards the light". In return for this help, Sabra gave Nightcrawler a disk that contained information on Xavier's whereabouts.

Later the team goes to Peru to a hidden Operation Zero Tolerance base that is still in operation, because the disk told them that Xavier may be there. The are attacked by Prime Sentinels who are dressed up as the X-Men. They learn that the Prime Sentinels need help, as one of the mutants bought here is responsible for killing all the others. When they break into the chamber he is being held in, they discover not Xavier, but Mimic! They battle him, with him using their powers again them, but finally subdue him and take him to Muir for medical attention.

2gt8b2r.jpg

Meanwhile, as the sunsets on Muir, a teary-eyed Meggan leaves the dock - when suddenly a boat arrives, and Captain Britain arrives home and suggests that he and Meggan get married next week. Meggan is excited, but she feels like she should tell him about her small crush on Colossus.

During the bachelor & bachelorette parties, Colossus tells Brian Braddock that he had feelings for Meggan, even though it was the other way around. Suddenly, Crazy Gang shows up with a new leader who wants revenge on Excalibur. We find out that the mystery leader is Feron, former Excalibur member who was pretty much forgotten about. He felt that Excalibur didn't care about him, because they had never searched for him after his disappearance. He discovered the Crazy Gang who were just burying one of their own: the Executioner. The Executioner was a robot, completely hidden in green robes, who wielded an axe. Feron stole the robes and the axe and posed as the Executioner to the Crazy Gang, turning them against Excalibur again. They invaded Captain Britain's bachelor party, but when Feron was unmasked, he and Excalibur settled their differences, once he realized that Excalibur was quite busy dealing with all other manners of threats. He and the Crazy Gang were then invited to the wedding.

Pretty much every character from the Excalibur series shows up on the wedding issue to tie up loose ends about what they've been doing I guess. Douglock has partial amnesia from drinking too much the night before, so he must get checked out. Moira decides to take a break from working on the Legacy virus. In the end though, Nightcrawler, Kitty & Colossus decide to leave Excalibur and head back home to the X-Men to help find Xavier.

Pretty cool final issue, but I'm interested to see how they fit in with the new X-Men.

Uncanny X-Men #360 & X-Men v2 #80
These two issues were the 35 year X-Men anniversary so they were both double sized.

The impending launch of a rocket from Cape Citadel, Florida – the location where the original X-Men had their first battle against Magneto – stirs public controversy. In actuality, the rocket serves a secret project which aims at tracking and terminating all mutants worldwide. The X-Men’s old ally, Dr. Peter Corbeau, is also involved the project, but suddenly goes missing. Corbeau is actually abducted and held captive by a team of strangely familiar but unknown mutants, who have all being banded together by none other than the long missing Professor X.

They attack a cruise ship and kidnap former Shadowcat. They bring Kitty to Xavier’s hideout in an abandoned bunker in Florida. There, an uncharacteristically cold Xavier reveals he needs Kitty’s help. Kitty manages to shut down a computer virus that was connected to Xavier and was killing him, but before she can extract any answers, she is placed in storage. Elsewhere, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue and Marrow, investigate Corbeau’s disappearance. While the government considers the X-Men the culprits behind his kidnapping, the team has a secret rendezvous with their old ally, Val Cooper. Val indicates that Corbeau’s kidnapping may be somehow connected with the impending launch. Meanwhile, Colossus and Nightcrawler, desperate to enlist the X-Men’s help in finding Kitty, travel to the mansion in Westchester. There, they meet Cecilia Reyes, who tips them off to the current location of the X-Men and hands them over the old Blackbird to use. Elsewhere, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue and Marrow fly towards the Cape Citadel on a jet arranged for them by Val, intent on tracking down the missing Corbeau. However, in mid-air their plane is shot down by the counterfeit X-Men and a fight ensues. Thankfully, the team is rescued by the intervention of Colossus and Nightcrawler, who pick them up with the Blackbird. However, one of the evil “X-Men” damages the Blackbird and causes it to crash.

Kitty escapes from the “X-Men” and saves Dr. Corbeau from them too. The Blackbird is totaled but everyone is safe except for Nightcrawler. Shadowcat meets up with the others to stop the “X-Men” form hijacking the Benassi Rocket. Xavier turns out to not be himself and hijacks the rocket. Rogue absorbs the powers of Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine to temporarily become one super mutant. The real X-Men destroy the satellite. In the end, the fake Xavier changes himself into a mechanical creature calling itself Cerebro; it reabsorbs the fake X-men into itself.

Cable#58
Blaquesmith sends Cable to Greece where he meets with a group of Askani worshippers who were formerly being led by Cha'vayre. Here he found a weapon from the future, but also made an enemy within the group. Meanwhile, SHIELD has been keeping tabs on Cable, and finally they decide it is time to attack him with a secret weapon called Agent 18.

X-Factor #149
While Havok was attempting to reform X-Factor, one of his time-traveling team members, Greystone, created an experimental time travel device to return him to the future. It exploded in mid-air, seemingly killing Havok and Greystone in front of their teammates.

This is the last issue of X-Factor v1 and I know that Havok was not killed, but transported to a different universe creating the Mutant-X series, which I probably won't be reading.

Okay this thread is officially all caught up with the other thread, so now anything I post in here will be issues I have just read.

xfp4l1.jpg

Bianca and her crew are then forced to fix up the school. Synch goes out to meet with the guys who put him in a coma, and surprisingly he gives them money to buy a new car in order to end the cycle of hatred, as he put it. Meanwhile Husk goes back home to be with Cannonball and their sick mother. When everyone gets back home, they find that the entire biosphere has been stolen and transported to a different place and time.

They decide that losing the biosphere isn't too big of a deal. Later in the issue, Emma Frost & Jono Starsmore get their powers back, and Emma tells the team that there are going to be some new changes, one being that Gaia is now formerly enrolled in the school.

Deadpool@21
Zoe Culloden finally reveals a holographic image of the upcoming threat: a big alien named Tiamat, which Deadpool is supposed to kill! Wade’s a bit hesitant about having to kill and teleports away. Zoe receives a message from Noah, Overboss Dixon's right hand man, about the mindwipe being done to Monty. She even discovers a hidden agenda of Dixon and teleports away together with Monty. At the same time, Gerry meets up with his old friend Dr. Strange. They discuss other heroes who might be suitable to deal with Tiamat, but Gerry is confident that Deadpool is the only perfect one. Some time later at the LL&L base, Dixon and Noah learn of Zoe and Monty’s departure, thinking they are traitors. Dixon dispatches Noah to a base of his where the radars have gone off-line. Noah leaves, telling Dixon he still trusts him and the Mithras Project. Once Noah is gone, Dixon thinks that’s why Noah is going to lose and he hopes God will forgive him for it. Back home, Wade gets the unsuspected visit of both Zoe and Monty, and she informs him about what Dixon did to Monty.
