Start stopping now. If you already are only drinking on weekends then make a 6pm rule; no drinks before 6pm.
Then in about 2-3 weeks do a weekend only between hours of 6pm-12am.
Then I’m another 2-3 weeks transition to Friday/Saturday only. 2 weeks from then pick one day to drink on the weekend.
It should slow you down. If that method works then you probably aren’t an alcoholic and can probably still drink socially. If it doesn’t then you need to really consider that you have or will have a problem
