I agree, them being able to adopt and balance a healthy identity seeing themselves as Black and part of the Black community while still not denying their other side is crucial. But it also doesn't help when people try to claim "Mixed people can't be Black" (though this seems mostly a petty woman thing in my experience).
It especially helps as you said if one of their parents or their upbringing made them feel they had a Black identity. This is easiest if they grew up in a Black area or if it was the burbs, a burb with lots of Black people. Some mixed people like this have gone harder for Black folks than most Black folks without a mixed background. Also, the US with its one-drop greater Black community I think accepts and integrates them better as Blacks than places like Europe and maybe even Canada where there is a defined "mixed" group but not really a cohesive mixed community. Unlike the stuff spouted on the Coli, in real life I have never been around a large group of ADOS who argue mixed people can't be Black.
For some reason, it seems that if the non-Black parent was not White, there seems to be less issues with adopting/balancing a Black identity than if a parent was White. Just anecdotally knowing a lot of mixed people in college, while most mixed people period identified with Black folks (this was the 90s though), the ones mixed with Asian or Indian seemed to be cool with Black folks at nearly 100% even though they embraced both sides of their culture many times. I have seen that later if life too. I have no explanations besides maybe the fact there are less illusions about calling yourself Chinese, Korean, or Tamil given the insularity of those cultures and knowing up front neither parent is White so there are no illusions about claiming that.
I don’t actually know what it means, tbh.
I saw a clip from a scene where some guy is telling another guy he’s racially ambiguous and there’s “cultural deception all in your face” (something like that).
For some reason that stuck w/ me.
Seemed fitting because if I can be racially ambiguous at times then on some level I can be deceptive in a cultural sense.

The issue with Brittany is u wanted to thot was for a almost decade u were shaking ass on the gram...when before then she bashing girls who did that u proudly said u were jumping from dikk to dikk then double backed saying u weren't proud of it...Whole identity is based of contradiction and what's why people can't take what she says seriously and the fact that she is intelligent makes it worse because she could be so much better but she chasing attention.

Yeah, you right. I saw she went to Jackson State homecoming, so I assumed, but a quick look around Google now, I don't see any graduation photos.
I guess when the clout started coming she said fukk college, hoing pays more.

She doesn’t speak bad about him…just that he did not want to continue any type of relationship when he found out about the pregnancy.
He was an older man who liked to play board games and shyt like that. He approached her at a club or bar.
The thing is, moms was also fukking around w/ a younger White fella who was possessive and aggressive. Dude was crazy enough that we had to relocate to another province. But he found us and a whole paternity case popped off.
Anyway, before relocation, she tells me that pops reached out and wanted “to go for a coffee.” She thinks he might have had a change of heart.
Unfortunately we’ll never know as the younger crazy guy tore up and discarded the piece of paper with my dad’s contact info on it (people were harder to find back then, apparently).

I can only speak on my school but......the light skint broads seemed to hit their stride at an earlier age.
The only dark skinned broads that "developed" early were the overweight ones. Light skinned broads would be medium/average height and weight but look more 'filled out' and slim thick
.The dark skinned broads that were not overweight would be skinny, gangly and talk all kinds of shyt.....then magically transform and look fine as fukk by 10th grade. Light skint broads started attracting dudes way earlier like by 7th grade. Seen female cousins of mine getting attention from 16 and 17 year olds when they were 12 and 13
