Op your title is misleading. Tomlin isn’t defending him SAYING IT he’s saying Garrett is lying. You watch the video not one player reacts like Mason said that shyt.

I know that. By defending him I didn’t mean he defending him saying the word

Seems crazy tho that a guy who played football as long as him with so many different races of players would say that even if he feels like that still seems unlikely he would as an nfl qb

but it’s miles word against his

I believe him and it's a shame no one from Steelers organization is calling out Rudolph.

On a side note this another reason why calling each other ******/nikka is pathetic. The whole world hears that word get dropped casually a million times over.

The shock value is gone. Now when we justifiably spazz on a racist for saying it, the world acts like we're overreacting and it's just a word.

This!

Tomlin doesn’t really know, so his statement seems a bit strong (though it’s his job to protect his player to the outside and deal with it internally if it is causing any issue on the team). It’s very possible Myles kept it to himself because he didn’t want to bring it up immediately. It’s also possible Myles misheard. Unless they have audio it’s never gonna solved

I'll say it again, Myles wouldn't have been copping pleas and apologizing after the game if Rudolph said it. He would have said it immediately. Not a week later. Coincidentally, the week wait gave his team enough time to find that Rudolph was MAGA and confirm no mics were on the field and they could easily say "Well Rudolph said a slur so Myles shouldn't be suspended"

Nah, Myles and his team dug themselves this hole and now they have to keep up the charade. And it's not a loss for them because we will never fully know.

All I know is if I ever did something that would land me in hot water, like shoot someone, I damn sure ain't apologizing immediately after and then waiting a week to till the legal system I shot the person because he was coming at me with a gun himself.

This stance won't be popular on the Coli but :yeshrug:. It's like Chappelle said about Jussie Smollett, black people be knowing when to STFU when they know a brotha lying.

I dunno - some dudes are just reluctant to bring up racist shyt. The media / white people always saying that people are “crying racism” can make people reluctant to bring up actual racism. However the timing of everything here seems off

You would also think at the very least he would have told his teammates and if so they would have come out and mentioned it afterwards to defend him.

I also think the Nfl is hiding the audio conspiracy theory is dumb as hell. While we know the Nfl is capable of hiding and destroying things they don’t want out a audio of a 3rd string QB is not something that would destroy the league.

A Brady saying it yes I could see them doing that but a third string Qb?

If anything this would have been a layup for the league to pretend that they give a sh1t because they could suspend Rudolph for life tomorrow and nobody would notice or give a sh1t that he was gone.
