Collateral. IMO Mystic River had a ending. Plus, the premise of the movie is sad for Sean Penn and Tim Robbins characters.

It depends on what mood you are in. If you in that thinking about life mode then Mystic River is a good choice. But if you wanna see a movie with some suspense a nice bit of action than Colateral is your choice.
