Nas has rapped over a lot of mediocre production. I always thought Hip Hop Is Dead was Nas's most underrated album though and Stillmatic was his most overrated (never understood the love Stillmatic got). I thought Hip Hop Is Dead did have great production but Stillmatic was always an overrated :trash: album to me.

Half the album of Stillmatic is wack and the production is dull although I'll admit that the good tracks are very good.

To me, The Black Album is Jay's second-best album. Lyrically, he was fantastic.

No doubt. It's my 3rd favorite Jay album after RD and BP, and it's my 2nd favorite Jay album lyrically, after RD
.

wait. yall think blueprint and black album are lyrical?

can i get proof please?

i personally have lauded jay for a lyrical falloff since the dynasty

last time jayz got lyrical was vol 3. after that almost everything is a freestyle off dome and you can tell

all i can imagine is lyrical exercise VS bounce like round ball

For some reason I dont get the praise for the black album. It definitely has highlights no doubts. But I can easily skip change clothes, 99 problems, justify my thug, dirt off your shoulder and maybe 1 or 2 more songs. Maybe its just me overall though. I like the blueprint straight through minus 1 or 2 songs.
