What a scum bag thing to do.

I've said this before...I ALWAYS at min tip 20% even if the food or service is bad. You don't know what kind of day they are having...

I hook them and then touch base with the manager on the way out and just let them know what happened.
Nah, the workers should be paid minimum wage and let tips get them over to $10-$12 an hour for good service.

It is the employers responsibility to make sure they get paid at least minimum wage regardless of guests beforehand. The extra should be a benefit and incentive to increase your pay by people who VOLUNTEER to tip.

I almost never skimp on a tip even with crappy service, but the receipt makes it clear they waited an HOUR for food and gate the restaurant a FU in return. Not a news story.
