Make sure you pay your bill with cash when you do that too, because they'll just add gratuity when they swipe your card.
It's illegal or not good practice in some places anymore. They charge tax for it since it is now viewed as revenue for the business as a whole.

what I don't get is why it's a custom/good etititgute to tip a certain percent

so you're rewarding the server for the food being expensive :childplease:

like bih I gotta give you $10 just cuz it's like $40 a plate in this bih?

What's with this trend of waiters and waitresses posting on social media whenever they get stiffed?:beli:

I tip but its not mandatory. I was a waiter in high school. If I got stiffed I just moved the fukk on.:shaq2:
Nah bro it's mandatory.

Here's the deal, you go out and sit in n employed restaurant of your choice to enjoy your meal. That is part of the experience. Otherwise stay home cook your own fukkin food.

If you cannot afford to tip then stay tf home or order to go.

Nothing says your a shytty entitled human being like going to w restaurant, waving the waiter down multiple times for random things. "Bring me this bring me that bullshyt, refill refill refill, more bread, more salad" the. You not wanting to pay the. For helping make the experience .

If u don't wanna tip I understand order to go, grab your meal, hopefully u at least give a couple extra but if not I can't blame you cuz you aren't exactly being served.

I hear you but no. . . It is NOT mandatory. . It is optional. . There are some restaurants and bars where they add in the gratuity automatically. Other than that it is not mandatory. . Its a douchbag thing to do if the service is good. . But its not mandatory. .

And I tip. The service has to be horrible for me not to tip . . I actually can not think of the last time I didn't.:ehh:

Again bottom line: This is how the industry operates and it aint changing. Clowns complaining about waiters complaining and being somehow entitled because they expect liveable wages earned through an accepted societal construct thats been tied to tbe industry forever :heh: Nothing is more entitled in reality than being a broke fukk but still feeling like you deserve to go someplace and have people wait on you and bring you food and clean up your mess and pretend to like you and then when its time to pay up, THEN suddenly you disagree with the entire concept of restaurants and use that as a tired excuse to not pay the person that was just serving you. Pathetic.

FYI Im not in the service industry, try again. Im just a person that lives in reality instead of broke fukkboy land.
again, using the same tired ass excuses from every service worker even if you aren't one. "you're broke!!!" "you're cheap!!!" "it'll never change!!!"
yeah, it'll never change yet almost everything else about the service industry has been constantly evolving(min wage) because the people who actually do the jobs say something about it.

They expect liveable wages through tipping but dont care enough to get it through their employer? Oh that's right it's because they get much more than they deserve through tipping.

You still sound like a hypocritical a$$hole because if I was enough of a dikk i would just not pay tips and what are they going to do about it? We expect not to have to pay the wages of a companies employees and also get our food. You and the people you're caping all sound like the same hypocritical a$$holes because if I wanted to i could just start saying how much of a bullshyt easy job it is to be a waiter and how they should get better jobs if they want a liveable wage and how stupid they are for expecting to get more money just because someone's bill was higher but then you'd start crying.

We're expected to live with a system forever because the dumbass bottom feeder and the people who support them(you) are too lazy to do anything else and if the moment arises to they dont want to because it's out of their comfort zone. The amazing part is you can call me broke all you want and still bring me my food, clean up my soda and go live in a studio apartment with your 2 kids.

Here in japan its considered to be rude if you try to tip anywhere. :yeshrug:

Yeah I read that in my book before I went to Tokyo.

TBH I hardly tip here in London, unless the waiter was really good, recommended a bottle or wine or nice main dish.

I forget how much of a tipping culture America is and sometimes forget lol haha

Got the bellboy sitting like...

Waiting for his tip
