able to get KRS? You talking like he busy doing world tours![]()
I honestly didn't agree wit him on that whole segment. Cause he flat out said ghostwriters don't matter. He even said if Rakim came to him with a rhyme. He would spit it. And didn't even blink when he said it. I mean the shyt didn't make sense. He said he cares about how dope the lyrics are. It doesn't matter who wrote it. How the fukk am I gonna judge a dude for his lyrics when the dude didn't write em? That opens the gates for all kinda muhfukkas who don't got skills to step in. This is also the reason Drake running around not givin a fukk. Cause he knows there's a bunch of nikkas who give him a pass for the shyt. That whole segment prolly broke @Art Barr's heart being that KRS is his fav emcee. Lol
"In hip-hop," 40 explained, "you must write your own raps. If someone else were to write them for you, you'd have no credibility whatsoever, and you'd be out of the window immediately."
Except Drake never got on a track with prime level Beanie Sigel x Freeway and not only hold his own but deliver that ether napalm to a hip hop legend.
I feel u. And always understood it. But I'm sayin fam. Rakim tho? That's his rival peer right there. Lol. I just can't get wit dat.Having a ghost writer don't matter. Hiding the ghost writer matters. I've said this from day 1 with this Drake shyt.
Drake could've just as easily been an Eazy-E type figure. People love Eazy. He's a legend. Instead he tried to be Jay-Z.
The craziest shyt is....forget about how I, or you, or KRS feels about Drake. His own camp said "real MCs are supposed to write their own shyt". His producer 40 point blank said that, 2-3 years before the QM shyt.
Noah '40' Shebib: Recording Drake's 'Headlines'
Then 40 went on Twitter posting 50 times in a row copping pleas when the reference tracks dropped.
So those dudes know what they're doing isn't acceptable. It's not acceptable by the standards they set for themselves. That's why I'mwhen Drake stans get mad at me. Get mad at 40 for holding Drake to a standard he never had any intention of meeting.
As far as the Rakim comment....it's the same shyt I said in the Twista thread. It's been 25-30 years, you claim you've written your entire catalog. There's nothing to suggest otherwise. Somebody sliding you a song then, is not the same as Drake using ghostwriters on his very first mixtape, and over the entirety of his career. If you want to disagree and say "nah, that's still unacceptable"but Rakim writing a song for KRS in 2016 and KRS acknowledging "yeah, he wrote it for me" is not going to make me burn my KRS records.
Fred.
in the last episode, Nore talked about how he'd love to get Foxy Brown on as the first female guest. That'd be great.I wanna have one with:
Oschino
Mega
Cam & Chuck would be good, like @mr x said
E-40
The Liks
Muggs
Someone from the Clan - U-God, Ghost, Deck or Meth (w/ Street)
Dogg Pound or just Kurupt
Sticky
Evidence
And the rest of the C/O '87
I feel u. And always understood it. But I'm sayin fam. Rakim tho? That's his rival peer right there. Lol. I just can't get wit dat.
didn't he record the Styles P and Sheek one weeks ago...like the day before he recorded Ja Rule and Jadakiss? wonder if they got shelved, or if it just wasn't too great? they might as well release it as a bonus at some point.bleek one gonna be lit as fukk
His response to the Bam story wasbut I don't know what his relationship is with Bam. That could be like asking someone about a family member that's accused of pedophelia, you might think it's horrible and the guy is a piece of shyt but you won't shyt on him in public.
