It's not uncommon for artists who claimed to have made something famous when whole time, ppl from elsewhere been on the shyt for decades before the rest of the masses. Did Jones made them famous for the masses? Probably but he knows where he got that shyt from, otherwise Jimmy wouldn't have mentioned us directly by name
Wale gave them an appropriate anthem and I've even seen photos as far back as the early 90's of DMV ppl posted up rocking Nike boots (ACGs as they're also called). Personally I've never really checked for Jones like that outside of a couple songs. I was more of a G-Unit fan back in the day frfr lol
