Marshall Mathers LP album was a great. I'd say that shyt is a classic with The Eminem Show coming in 2nd place. Em capitalized off his trailer park whiteness and bought something new to Hip Hop that we (Black people) hadn't seen or heard really. But with Iovine and Em's label's to come up with a selling image, the goofy singles became his niche to get over on the commercial side of things and for him to have an angle.
Dre and the 45 King along with Proof bought the best out of him. Being hungry and tired of being broke helped too, obviously.
White people buy most of the shyt that sells in Hip Hop, when concerts come, White people the 1s who keep them shyts selling out. A lot of us (Black folk) ain't got the money for that shyt. When you got to them shows, all you see is White folks out there. I ain't saying we (Black folks) don't support at all but the vast majority of White folks are the 1s who be helping the sales of albums and concerts. That shyt ain't nothing new.
