I remember feeling like what does everyone else see with this song that I don’t.

Word

That shyt is the most generic ass forgettable song and I don't remember anybody fukking with it at the time either

Other than Del and one other cat I forgot the name of the whole hieroglyphics crew is overrated as hell

Some of you guys are going easy, picking overplayed radio hits. :pachaha:

I was never crazy about "T.R.O.Y." I like the beat, and CL's nice on it, but I wouldn't even say it was a top ten hip hop song. :hubie:

Tha Crossroads remix by Bone Thugs...

I never liked that joint nearly as much as everybody else did.

Also, The Box probably ruined it for me. The weekend the video came out, MFs requested it over and over- I stopped even bothering to go to the channel because it was always on.

:heh: I love TROY but I can't be mad at this take.

Phonte from Little Brother said it's the Brickhouse of hip-hop. :dead:

He had a really funny blog post about it that I can't do justice but it made me laugh about how so many DJs use TROY as a crutch. And how people basically force you into liking TROY and anyone that doesn't worship it gets treated like a blasphemer.

So yeah. TROY is my shyt and it probably is in my top 10 but I ain't mad at this take.

Dirt Off Your Shoulder

That beat is wack and it was the first beat produced by Timbaland that was wack as fukk too.
Excellent pick.

While we're at it I think Jay and Timbo have waaayyyyy more misses than hits together. Everything they did on BP3 was trash (not even counting Ghetto Techno). Then you got Dirt Off Your Shoulder which is wild overrated. Hola Hovito is a bottom 3 joint on Blueprint. And Timbo produced most of MCHG which is one of Jay's worst albums. :yeshrug:

I'm damn near tempted to say I could get rid of everything they did together after Volume 3 and wouldn't miss anything.

It’s cool (I guess). I’ve never in life played it on my own.

I know every bar in this tho

Then you know every bar of 93 Til, because Kanye & Consequence barely changed a thing. These two wack motherfukkers had 10 years to improve on the original and gave us this embarrassment.

Word, thanks

To this day, I've never heard the Blueprint 3 album. The singles for that album were so wack to me, I never even bothered to check out the album.

I don't like the beat, never have, never will. I know people are going crazy over this song, but I never understood the hype.

I was waiting to see this one. I love the beat and I'm from NC so I appreciate Camp Lo but I'm with you on this. I rap along with the hook but that's it.

Also, on this board I'm about to drop a very safe take, but Lose Yourself is a Grammy award winning song and I think it's pretty awful and cheesy.
