The East is competitive?
Who in the East could rebuild enough to contend NEXT season?
Indiana? Hell no, they have too many question marks already and they're at least 2 years away.
Philly? Not enough scoring options.
Chicago? Rose needs a year to attempt to be 100% and they may ship out Noah or Deng before then.
Boston? If they lose any of the big 3, then definitely not. Unless they get a good player this season.
Orlando? Come on now...
New York? They're not a bad team but they have bad chemistry. No one can click all at the same time. Melo gotta play out of his mind. And Lin will just make them a top 5 seed but that's it.
Atlanta? Unless they get Nash... then, no.
Every other team is not even in this discussion.
The East is weaker than it's ever been... and I'm not a Miami fan but they have no foreseeable competition in that conference... the NBA is just not that stacked right now. Besides, if you're a Heat fan, that's how you should want it.
