Why would we get Nash when we got a young emerging PG in Teague? :childplease:

Hawks have the talent to be a threat, but have the basketball IQ of a chimp. This team is only going as far as Josh Smith takes us next yr & if that ain't AT LEAST a ECF run then blow this bytch up.

Because Teague ain't ready yet. Why not get a starter and let Teague come off the bench? Use him in a JJ Barea kinda situation. Teague would be explosive off the bench.

And as far as Basketball IQ... how is Drew gonna improve that? Dude looks as clueless as the team does at times. Smith still loves the 3, he doesn't drive enough... and I'm done talking about JJ. Dude only cares when he wants to. But Horford should step up next year... but we need another scoring option off the bench and a back up big man. Pachulia is decent but we need a scoring big man.

Naw I dont think they will . DWade is on the decline and they needed there bench to step up to win. They weren't exactly the greatest team of all time let them win another ring before we proclaim they unstoppable

They are definitely stoppable but they have to stay healthy

I look at the teams in the east and I see

Bulls: I highly doubt d rose is going to be the same after the injury. And they still need scoring liabilitys

Celtics: too old of a team. KG to retire. Ray Allen to a different team

Pacers: no superstar to take over when needed

Magic: nobody knows what's going on with D12 (or anybody else in this organization)

Knicks: i just don't see melo and stat getting along on that team. They maybe have the talent to beat the heat, but they are mentally suspect.

Hawks/76ers: heat own them 95% of the time.

im not saying the heat are going to be a dynasty, but they have the east on lock for the next couple of years in my eyes.

Yes I agree that the heat will be and should be the favorites . Only knicks and pacers look like they can provide any threats . But heat will and should be favorites

:scusthov: at the Hawks franchise, I hate being a fan of this team. Why would anyone think we're contending for anything?

The Celtics (barring they blow up the team), Knicks, Hawks and maybe Pacers (if Granger develops an actual game) can all challenge the Heat in the East. But, as has been said, the Heat's ability to stay healthy will be the biggest factor. Regardless, I think the East is gonna be the funnest conference to watch the next few years, whatever happens.

so the sixers take the celtics to game 7 and they are not a factor at all

but the celtics take the heat to game 7 and they can knock them out

the hawks are a factor yet they didn't come close to taking boston to game 7?

i am confused

If you're looking at it at that shallow a level then I understand the confusion. The results of the series were matchup based. I think the Hawks matchup better with the Heat than the Sixers. The Celtics, barring they blow the team up, will have the services of some players they didn't have during the series against the Heat. The best thing the Sixers have going for them imo is Evan Turner and overall youth. I just don't know if that's enough. No hate, just my pov of the conference.

OKC aint even winning the west if Mavs get Deron.. period
I hope so, But I don't think that will happen, Plus I feel Dirk kinda took this year off. Think he'll get back on the horse for this coming season.

Sixers wouldnt have gotten out of the first round if not for Roses injury and this nikka pounding his chest like the sixers are shyt:pachaha: yall a perennial first or second round team like the Hawks

I dont like the Heay but nobody int he east is tocuhing them now that Rose is injured and Celtics are a year older and will lose some people

:pachaha: at the Pacers or hawks ever contending without a superstar

Yall nikkas claim to be huge nba fans yet know nothing about the history of the league

You need hall of fame great players to win titles which is why most have no shot

Thunder/TSC
If the Heat role players didn't play out of their damn minds they probably wouldn't have beat the Thunder. I'll wait for some Heat "fan" to come in here & say I'm mad or something else retarded, but if those guys didn't play out of their minds they might not have beat the Thunder (I know, you did though Heat "fans").

Dumb ass logic either way breh. Of course you need other players to step up. Every team does.

Thats why the Thunder lost. Harden and the bench was incognito.
