It depends on what arena you’re putting yourself in. I called myself the best rapper. I cannot call myself the best rapper if I have a ghostwriter. If you’re saying you’re a different type of artist and you don’t really care about the art form of being the best rapper, then so be it. Make great music. But the title, it won’t be there.

Kendrick is the greatest rapper of the current generation. Props to him. I know Cole writes most of his shyt. The point is that haters hang on to that flaw of Drake’s to discredit all the work he’s put in for 15 years. That’s wack to me.
You don’t write thats your fault. It was DRAKE who tried to pas s himself off as a true MC, not anybody else. If he would have just went the “artist” route ala Kanye instead of the “lyricist” route then nobody would have been able to say much of anything to him.

He has ghostwriters. Everyone knows that at this point. To say he doesn't write AT ALL or he never wrote isn't factual. I've even seen people discredit the fact that he wrote for Alicia Keys. There's artists that have writers and still wrote for other artists. Keri Hilson had writers even though she wrote for other artists. And yes, I know this is Hip Hop, but I used that as an example. Drake does in fact write.
