When it comes to creative names black americans may have the reputation for it but it is not a stricly black american thing. I've met black Costa Ricans a d black Panamanians with with those 'creative' names too. Tho black americans tend often go with traditional Anglo-Saxon names and add "De" or "Le/La" in front of it and ride with it. DeShawn, DeMarcus, Demario, DeAndre,DeLeon, DeWayne, LaMarcus, LaShawn, etc.

Hood Haitians are Obsessed with English named that end with "son'. Nickenson, MackSon, Jackson, Mackenson, SonSon (yeah you read that right) and the list goes on and on. My dad was saying this was as a result of the American invasion and occupation of Haiti in the early 1900s. Some Haitians heard the fancy english names like Jackson and and became fascinated with the sound
Country ass haitians love name with Jesus and God mentioned in them. My GrandFathers's name was "Dieu-Fort" which translates to "God is Powerful" . ANother favorite is DieuDonne" (God Giveth), Jesus-La (Jesus is here), Dieu-Seul (God Only), Dieu-Benit (God Blessed) and the list of fukkery names goes on and on.
Or even worse they name kids names like Innocent, Prudence, Proverbe (like Proverb), Prospere ( prosper), an d on and on
City folks clown them for it
You check all ethnicities and you'll find some of the same fukkery by parents
