I feel bad for her cause our civilization is so spiritually stupid that we even put pressure on her to feel this way. The way people venerate sports on this planet you'd think ball sports turn you into a god
Welcome to the life of being a celebrity and professional athlete. She can choose not to life that life if she doesn't want to do so, but wants the money and notoriety that comes along with it.

No one is forcing her to do anything as plenty of athletes in their prime has walked away.

I actually think a lot of athletes and professionals don't have much of a choice, they spec into their profession so much they either don't know how to do much else or they won't make nowhere near what they can doing that so they're in a situation where they're raised, or even bred for this unnatural life style that the system has them in a bind.

Most athletes that walk away usually have a sound mind, but the vast majority get dumped out

But I'm biased because I know sports it's just a psyop we perfected from the Roman's

Reporter: "I know these loses stink, but are they harder now than they used to be?"

Naomi: "I feel like as time goes on, I feel like I should be doing better. I hate disappointing people. Even with my current coach Patrick I was thinking he's working with Serena Williams the greatest ever to working with me and he probably thinks 'what the fukk is this'. Sorry for cursing"

Damn :francis::mjcry:

I think she should just retire, maybe Tennis brings her too much pain and turmoil or something

She really is mentally weak :mjlol:

These issues existed even before Cordae and the baby came into the picture. It's weird that posters are pretending like we weren't having these same exact discussions before.

Yeah?

:sas2:

Naomi Osaka and Cordae's first date was at a Los Angeles Clippers game in 2019. They were first publicly linked together that year.

Naomi Osaka’s downward trajectory in tennis began in 2021, following a period of remarkable success that included four Grand Slam titles between 2018 and early 2021. Her decision to withdraw from the 2021 French Open due to mental health concerns marked a significant turning point.

In 2023, Osaka took maternity leave, giving birth to her daughter in July. She returned to professional tennis in 2024, showing glimpses of her former prowess, such as a competitive match against world No. 1 Iga Świątek at the French Open. However, consistency remained elusive.

No disrespect but has a woman ever reached her old heights after pregnancy?

We're constantly told how it changes the body. Then as an athlete, you're already dealing with fine margins. Just put a period of relative inactivity in the mix paired with a diminished drive.

I suspect that right now, the biggest obstacle in her mind is wanting to focus on her baby.

Either that or walk away from the celebrity life altogether as that star power is going to wane if she’s not out there on the court.

I’m surprised it hasn’t already as I see Nike still promoting her.

People also shouldn’t blame the baby or Cordae as these issues were there even before that. They just made it worse.

Nike probably threw her a long term deal so she didn’t go to NB like Coco or back to adidas, where she started.

Nike got what they could out of her and probably thought she would be the next Serena so they fast tracked her line of clothes and shoes to tap into all of the fashion stuff.

But it’s just not working and you don’t look at her and believe she’s gonna go out there and shill for the brand like LeBron does.

Naomi wanted the life but very little parts of the work. If she wanted to get jacked and focus on her game she would’ve never had a kid. She could be moonwalking thru this weak era if she had a CT Fletcher type motherfůcka screaming in her ear every day.

I feel bad for her. Luckily she has millions to fall back on if she never makes it back to the heights she was pre baby. Some players never win a major in their lifetime. She has 4. She’s done something the 1% of professional players have never accomplished. She will be okay.

That's not the average person's problem and you're going to be hard pressed to get them to care.

Years later and she’s still out here doing the same thing. Even now, posters that were once defending her are starting to turn against her.

She had the babyy with Cordae in like 2022 or 23 so people just apply those years as her Cordae years

In reality, she was with him before her downfall started. She won like 2 majors after she first got with him, so she was still on the up in the initial stages.

She overachieved :yeshrug:

We are not talking about peak Steffi Graf.

She beat a washed up Serena and the media ran with it and propped her up. But let’s not act like she was out here demolishing opponents and it magically went away.

4 majors is a big deal but she will fade away and when the next group of popular girls come, she will be forgotten. Tennis is so wide open right now that it needs faces on both sides and it just ain’t happening
