Like I said I don't care about this shyt and I'd be a Nas fan whether he sold 10 records or a million. But it's funny how he's selling well and getting tons of critical acclaim when people were starting to write him off as a hasbeen years ago.

I remember when a bunch of dudes on sohh were saying he's washed up and not relevant anymore. And Jim Jones was calling him old and saying he's done. 50 said he's so cold Queens Get the Money wasn't worth responding to. Where are 50 and Jim Jones now?

I'm shocked they actually used some common sense and put NaS on the list. Drake fans upset. Drake will NEVER sell the albums NaS has sold. NaS has 8 Platinum albums, 5 #1 albums, 3 Multi-Platinum Albums. But I was laughing at the dude crying, "NaS ain't on the radio, NaS ain't in the club". So what, that ain't the only criteria for someone being hot. The list is still B.S. but it was funny cause they actually made some sense talking about NaS. I like the guy that said, "NaS made a mature album for older hip hop heads that actually grew up on Hip Hop in the Golden Era". NaS don't need to talk about popping Molly's. He's a grown man that been through marriage and divorce. Drake will never be on NaS level. The grammy only gave Drake the award cause he sold more records. Let me know if Drake is still selling 10 albums down the line then we can talk.

I had on EMPTV whiles getting ready for work, and one of those jabronies kept crying that he hadn't heard a Nas song in the club in 6 months, therefore he deserves to be lower on the list.

Since, when did Top MC in the game derived from what's only hot in the clubs.

The clowns at EMPTV needs to just go ahead a make a Top Club Rapper list...with Flo Rida coming in at no.2 and Pitbul at no.1.

2. Drake is on the verge of releasing his 3rd album.
3. Drake has both radio and album cuts
4. Drake isn't even old enough or far enough in his career to be making mature rap. You act like Nas wasn't on some bullshyt at the turn of the century.
5. You're talking about drake getting the record cause of record sales, yet you're using record sales in Nas' career to say hes better. You're just a bitter fan who is taking this nas recognition more personally than you need to.

Don't tell me about record sales from the 90s compared to today. That shyt is a swing-and-a-miss every time.

Even still, Drake continues to be one of the highest selling rap artists both single and album wise among his peers DURING THIS CLIMATE in the music industry.

That bytch in the Juventus Shirt obviously forgot about the times they put Common, Raekwon, Andre 3000, Lupe Fiasco, Eminem on the list when they didnt have club bangers .
One of the good or bad things about this list is that there is no set criteria and sometimes they say someone is hot cause of radio, cause of "power moves", cause of a critically acclaimed album.
Basically if you made impact of some type in the time they put the list, you should be mentioned. Its one reason why when they first did the list they felt Nas should have been on the 2007 list for the Hip Hop is Dead movment and Rahman and Shaeem wrote a seperate accompanying article:
