I actually meant to ask you fam, if I remember well the early version you heard months ago, you weren't too crazy about Preem's beats. Are those the same beats but polished up versions or different shyt?

Those joints got polished up and refined.

I was talking last week in the thread about how Primo went back in and put more focus on attention to detail. Nas is rapping like '97-'98 Nas again, on this. And the people want Preem to get back to that Preem we grew up listening to. So people should be standing on top of cars blasting this sh*t in the next few days. I'm only f*cking with this and the Conway album for the next 7 months. HAHA!

What type of people was it played for? We talking like...Pete Rock, Young Guru, etc types who have been involved in the Mass Appeal albums this year? Any media people like maybe some old NY radio types? Did you get the impression that everyone had similar views as you or nah.

And was Sean C the person playing this stuff for you or was it Premo?

did u like that green lantern mixtape

Okay bro, honest opinion. 70%-80% I fukk with. I am discovering that I like Premier's more melodic beats than his straight raw beats - even though I do fukk with Ten Crack Commandments, and some other joints. What I am noticing is that Nas vocals, the mix - sublime, they are like lyrics directly to the vein - no filler.

I don't want to hype myself up too much for this, but I'll be quietly anticipating what they come out with. I trust my coli brehs to not steer me wrong.

Thanks @The Dust King

Thank you bro. Fiancée passed away unexpectedly in January and have been fighting to stay positive ever since. We listened to every joint from his run with Hitboy together and she took me to the Nas gig in London for New Year for my birthday - I’ll be holding her in my heart when I bang Lightyears, I know she’ll be listening with me.

I'm guessing that with The Auditorium and The FORCE coming out last year, that inspired Nas and Premier to delay the album and pushed them even harder to make it great. I remember you said something like that last year.

I already thought Nas caught a second wind with the Hit-Boy era, so if Premier has any beats like "Brainstorm" or "My Mind Spray" on it, we could be in for something. Then again, I already thought his stuff on the last Gang Starr album was great, so I'll be more than happy with that.
