:camby:Stop disrespecting the GOAT off 20 seconds of 45 minutes of music. The new Gang Starr album shows he's not washed. This joint shows he's not washed

IMO his best beat in years. I was legit stunned when I heard it. Great album too, Ab really did his thing. I don't remember if it was Ab or Premo who said it but Ab had to re-do his verses multiple times to satisfy Premo. Not lyrically but delivery wise. And it came out perfect.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Glad to see AZ and Nas were in the studio together and it wasn't just emailing verses.
I’d be curious to hear more about how this came about. There’s been a legacy between them as well stretching back to the beginning. Back when AZ was the only guest appearance on the debut of all debuts. When he burst onto the scene with his unforgettable intro and Nas followed, their both contributing to a body of work which became an instant classic and a significant chapter in the story of hip-hop. There’s been a clamoring for more since then. There was a time when I hoped that each would be on the other’s projects, and maybe that has never left, because more often than not it has felt like magic when they get together. Kind of a dream come true that AZ would be on here and shows maybe Nas and Preemo’s desire to give the day-1 fans what they’ve been wanting by including him. I can’t think of a more fitting way for Nas to show his appreciation and respect for AZ by having him be the only feature on his long-awaited, highly-anticipated collabo with DJ Premier. I think sharing this stage and moment is quite the honor to bestow. Thinking about the title of the album, it makes me think of the light they created with Life’s A bytch and how that’s been traveling 31 years to make another appearance today. Can’t wait to hear what else they have for us.

I just ran back One of the Best Yet and Premier did a great job there. He knew he couldn't fukk that one up and he knows the assignment for this one.

It's weird to me how many people are openly rooting for this to suck. I don't get it. This isn't sports where one team winning means yours lost.

The hate for Premier is something. Feel like people wanna hear this, just to complain about him.

I'm not always plugged into the drama. Did Premier do something? He seems like a chill guy who loves hip hop but I see people calling him diabetic and washed and so on and it seems like there is some real hatred of him.

I honestly think most of his haters didn't listen to that Gang Starr album.

Dudes want him to release nothing but timeless classics without having to worry about paying for samples like it's the 90's. They also don't listen to 75% of the music he puts out and judge albums by snippets and single tracks.
