Well Lost Tapes 2 was billed as songs from sessions that didn’t make Hip Hop Is Dead, Untitled, Life Is Good and Nasir and Statik only ever said he was close to making one album and that was Life Is Good so by process of elimination Lost Freestyle would be the song.

Bath Salts was recorded for Life Is Good and had a lot of hype even back then, I have absolutely no idea why it wasn’t included on the album and Summer on Smash was. Everyone who heard it was loving it and Nas and Swizz performed it several times, not just at the listening party but other private events.

yall remember than "Sinatra in the Sands" shyt that was supposed to be some mega collab like jay nas JT or something? lol idk why this reminded me of that. era I guess

It's technically Alicia's song and all the other versions appeared on NaS albums. Listening to all three songs back to back and it sounds like a Trilogy. But title is "Streets of New York". Matter of fact Alicia could make a nice little "New York" EP with all those songs she's done about the city. Weren't there rumors Jay wanted NaS on "Empire State of Mind", don't now if it's true but I heard that. Again it was always more the fans making it "Part III" and not really officially. But this is very exciting news because that's interesting they decided to close the Trilogy.

TBH we seen from songs like Thun and The Truth Nas can get in that type of vibe and given you’re just flipping a great sample shouldn’t be too difficult for Premo to make another version that is unique.
