I do think that Hit Boy has put way more pressure on this project than it ever would have received 2005-2020. He was just so good and his output was unbelievable and diverse
I don’t think so. Premier said 15 years ago that when Nas is ready to lock in and make an album, that he's going to lock himself in at home and work all day on it because he knows they need a classic.
A Premier and Nas album this late in their careers is gonna have wild pressure
regardless because of the expectations. The HB projects are mad polarizing. A lot of people think HB is wack. So if anything, this project with Primo is more of what people have been asking for for damn near 30 years.
Premier isn't what he used to be, but he's still
ridiculously better on his wackest day, than HB is on his best. The expectations for this project have been high for decades. It's two GOAT's. They have to expect pressure because of the simple fact that they are who they are, and they cannot f*ck this up.
