Kind of random, Forgot about this and was thinking where else it appeared, this was an exclusive for ALs cuttin room 3 ?

This was recorded for the QB's Finest album in 2000.

It was originally a posse cut. Later on, people online edited it and kept only Nas on it. ALC was supposed to have a couple joints on that project, but the OG version of this was leaked by Whoo Kid. So it got scrapped from the album and replaced with another ALC joint called "Money".

Could've left it on, Doesn't sound like they were aiming for a hit and I can't see the fanbase being mad at it but whatever.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Leaks back then weren’t what they are today. A leaked song could change the entire course of someone’s project and a leaked ALBUM could altar careers.
Seriously, you had to be there. I don’t think cats who were born in the 2000s or who got into music mid-2000s can fully appreciate that era where leaks had a big impact.

What's the difference between this thread and a Krispy Kreme factory?

I think the labels overreacted to leaks back then, often removing fire tracks that leaked and replacing them with lesser tracks (the worst example of which would be the crap Eminem put on Encore like Rain Man). But it was a whole thing back then. I know the industry felt like Illmatic in particular was hurt from it leaking, so that attitude kind of built for a few years and then the internet got faster.

The beats Alc was giving Nas in the early 00's sounded real futuristic...this, Book of Rhymes, Mastermind, original version of No Idea's Original

And this banger with Nas on the hook which I wish he had a verse on
