My story, Your Story sounds like a posthumous collab. The back and forth doesn’t sound natural.

They definitely weren’t in the studio together recording, which is a shame because it’s a fire track, would be 5/5 if they cleaned it up.

Havoc & Prodigy’s back and forth sounded seamless. :mindblown:

It's early but I'd say for Nas this decade:

1. King's Disease III
2. Magic
3. King's Disease II
4. Magic 3
5. Magic 2
6. Light-Years
7. King's Disease
That's super close to my rating as well. Depending on the day I might swap Magic 1 and King's 3. And I can envision that some days I might want to swap swap Light Years and King's 1.

But your 3-5 slots also exactly like mine and those orders probably aren't ever changing for me.

I told yall what would happen  . fukk what everyone else talking bout.. I'm about to buy 2 more copies. I drove to Raleigh and back today and I listened to it 4 times total. One time on youtube when it dropped and 7 times driving. It would have been 6, but I let my wife listen to Oliva Dean's album twice and Syd Once. Fuk the bullshyt, I dig it. Primo is almost 60 and Nas is 52. I think it's some great "old man" hip hop music. I personally like the De la soul and Mobb Deep albums better, but I love the album. For people talking about the beats are simple, most of Primo's classic tracks are very simple. Dwyck is a 2 bar bass loop and a half-bar "synthetic substitution" drum sample over it. "Second childhood" is a 2 bar Pebo Bryson loop. Memory lane is just a 2 bar loop with no changes. We all like what we like. This aint for everyone. Some people said the Mobb, De la, and even Common/Pete Rock albums were trash so we all got our likes and dislikes. I detest trap music. I hate trap music more than I hate the police, but if that's someone's cup of tea, that's for them...

Premo is getting cooked viciously on Twitter :russ: the consensus option is Nas brought his A game but Premo is washed, pretty much what I said earlier. Really wish we had HitBoy’s production again, or someone like Q Tip or Pete Rock, they would’ve been elevated this album

The takes you see now on instagram and twitter and all that shyt is so weak. This is what the game came to? Cute remarks. Everyone wants the likes and the first response. No one has the patience for reflection. Nas is my favorite rapper. I've been a fan since I was 12.

I really haven't like much Nas has done in like 10 years, it's not trash, it's just missing something. The last time I heard Nas really flow that moved me was his flow on that wack Kanye album, the song where he's rapping about the ghosts of slave owners in mansions, "Everything". That was the old Nas. Blue Benz and All Bad. There was one or two from Kings Disease 2. It's just part of the legends getting older.

Nothing here is trash, but it's not moving me. The beats and raps lack urgency, but Nas is 50 year old now.

Listened last night on the way to bed. Listened today multiple times. Nas been the GOAT, and the distance between him and the rest keeps widening significantly. This fukker still the best MC in the game 30+ years deep. His pen still sharp. The flow still sharp. Him being this damn good, this damn long is some shyt that needs to be studied. Makes no sense.

Bruh, I'm suppose to kick this habit
Done with it, havin' fun with it
Hard to let it go, how could you whеn you in love with it?

This shyt says everything. The love still there, so he doesn't get complacent. Refuses to allow himself to fall off. There is no comp for him at this point. None. Zero. It's done vincecarter dot gif

Now the production? I see both sides. It's not exactly vintage Premo, but it gets the job done. My initial listen I was underwhelmed with the beats, but today in the car they hit better. Again not vintage Premo, but I'm not mad at it. There are a couple I can see ppl not liking too much, but it's cool.

I'm not big on comparing projects like that, so won't even speak on how it compares to KD and Magic trilogies. They're all fire, and that's that.
